Whelving Warmth
Chapter 02

I was raised by my father telling me that I should always keep my cool.

"Don't show emotions," he said.

Magagamit daw yun laban sakin. In the business world, you cannot trust anyone. Lahat ng tao mabilis mabulag ng pera. And money can make people evil. That's the reason I don't like making friends. I can be casual to people but hanggang dun lang yun.

I thought I already mastered concealing my emotions but this particular guy is stressing me out.

"You won't really talk to me? Three days na nakalipas ah. Sorry na nagbibiro lang naman ako"

Unfortunately, God didn't listen to my prayer.

After our dismissal, I saw him outside my building. Iniwasan ko na nga dumaan sa tapat niya pero nakita niya pa rin ako.

Binilisan ko ang lakad pero sinusundan niya pa rin ako. "Hindi mo naman sinabing farmer ka pala"

What is this guy talking about? Tumigil ako saglit kaya nakahabol siya sakin.

"Titigil din pala, nagpahabol pa," he whispered something that I was unable to heard before going in front of me.

He smiled widely showing his deep dimples. He looks really playful when he's smiling. Drops of sweat were falling at the side of his face, maybe because of waiting outside and running after me.

Today he's wearing an all black attire, black dress shirt and slacks. Kaya hindi bumakat yung pawis niya sa damit niya.

"What farmer?" I said and crossed my arms in front of me.

Napakamot siya sa batok niya. "Nagtatanim ka ng sama ng loob e"

I stopped myself from rolling my eyes. "Listen, I'm over it, okay? Kaya don't follow me around anymore."

He looked amused with what I said. "Excuse me, following you around?" He is helding himself from laughing.

"Well, obviously you are. Hindi naman dito ang campus ng law but you are here. No offense meant, but do you think you'll last law school with what you are doing?"

I've heard a lot about Ateneo Law. Sabi, you can't play around when you enter. Sa books and cases nalang daw tatakbo buhay mo. But it seems that it doesn't apply to this guy here, he still have time to go here in Katipunan to find me.

He also crossed his arms in front, copying me. "Miss, share ko lang ha, I'm in my fourth year in law school already. Meaning, I already last for three years. Ganon ako kagaling!" mayabang niyang sabi. "And what following you around? Excuse me, I didn't! Hindi ka ba naniniwala sa destiny?"

The fuck? What is he talking about? "Really? You are going to use destiny as your excuse in following me around?"

Tumaas yung isang kilay niya. "Hindi ka nga naniniwala sa destiny? Okay edi iisipin ko nalang na sinusundan mo ko."

"So binabaligtad mo na ngayon? This is my campus kaya. How come that it is me who's following you?" napakalakas ang aking pagkakasabi.

Yung ilan kong blockmates na nakasabay ko sa paglabas ay napatingin sa akin, shocked with my sudden outburst. I can't held back my temper anymore. This guy is so annoying.

He smiled proudly, very happy with the reaction he got from me. This jerk.

My phone suddenly ring so I look for it in my bag. Nanggigil ako kaya hindi ko kaagad nakita.

I heard him chuckle when I finally found my phone.

It was a message from our driver telling me that he's already at the parking. I almost forgot that I'm going to the company today.
