Chapter 47
 

It's been a week since our partnership started. At araw araw akong na la-late sa opisina dahil maliban sa medyo mahabang biyahe mula Pandan papuntang Culasi ay sinasadya ko talaga ito para mairita ang si Aragon.

"You're late again Ms. Alarde." He said as I stood in front of him. Di man lang siya nag angat ng tingin sa akin. His eyes remained on the papers on his table.

Nilatag ko na ang tasa ng kape sa kaniyang harapan. It's my way of pleasing him, ughh well not that I want to.

"Oh come on. I woke up early, it's just that it's far." I almost sounded like a sweet child.

Napa angat siya ng tingin habang nakakunot ang noo. His eyes surveyed me and he raised his eyebrow. I rolled my eyes because it's about my outfit. I don't want to describe it but I knew I look sexy.

He inhaled, trying to calm himself.

"I gotta work." I said as I walk away.

Ganito kami palagi, para siyang tatay na strikto sa anak. I am quite irritated and so pissed by his behavior, yun lang dahil ayaw ko nang bigyan ng ibang kahulugan ang kaniyang mga aksyon. I just busied myself in work.

"Hey. Lunch?" Drake's head popped on my door. He smiled at tuluyan nang pumasok sa opisina ko. Kaya tinabi ko muna ang ginagawa at napa tingin sa orasan, geez it's almost one. Kuya Anthony often visits me here but now it's Drake's turn for the first time.

I smiled at him. This guy grew up well. I can see the similarities of him and Aragon but this guy is much kinder and sweeter. Lumapit siya habang bitbit ang isang lunch box saka umupo sa harapan ko.

"Pinadala ni Mama. She is very excited while cooking this. Lately niya lang kasi nalaman tungkol sa collab niyo ni Kuya." He said habang napakamot ng ulo.

"Thank you but I don't actually eat this much." I answered. Bigla namang lumungkot ang mukha niya habang tumatango. I feel guilty.

"But today's an exception." Bawi ko. Agad namang lumaki ang kaniyang ngiti at binuksan na ang mga tupperware sa harap ko.

Nag kwentuhan kami and I can say he is very open dahil to think na back to zero ang memory ko, he is really trying hard to catch up with me. He told me about me about our times back then and also life without me. He asked me questions too especially my life in Vegas kaya nag kwento na rin ako. Magaan talaga ang loob ko kay Drake because he is like a younger brother to me.

Nasa gitna kami ng tawanan nang biglang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok ang nakakunot noong si Aragon.

"Hey Kuya." Drake greeted.

"What brought you here?" He asked as his eyes travelled on the empty tupperwares.

"Mama told me to bring lunch to Seffie." Drake answered happily, he didn't notice how serious Dreyfus is at the moment.

"Kuya Anthony is also here. Maybe he's talking to the management team." Drake added. Seryso lang ang mukha ng kanyang kapatid. Napansin ni Drake na pabalik balik ang mata ni Aragon sa tupperware.
