A girl with long platinum blonde hair got close, whispering something into his ear.

He smirked at her as he looked around.

Rose could feel her heart beating miles a minute.

The girl took out a baggie from her bra as she placed some powder under his nose.

"You're fucking kidding me." Rose was relieved.

"At least he ain't cheating..." Tyler turned back around.

It was obvious Abel wouldn't try anything. Everytime a dancer would come along, he would decline it. He stayed talking with his friends, but nothing else.

Rose turned, feeling stupid.

"You wanna go?" Tyler asked.

She sighed, nodding.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick." She spoke.

Rose made her way around the bar, a hidden unisex bathroom in sight.

She made her way past a group, walking in as a group of girls walked out. Rose breathed out, looking at herself in the mirror as she cringed at the stupid wig she had on.

She eyed Abel's text.

Just then, someone walked in.

"Rough night?" He asked.

Rose knew that voice anywhere. It was Abel.

She internally cursed, pretending she didn't hear him. She kept her head down at her phone, he still hadn't noticed.

"You good?" He asked, this time turning to look at Rose.

Fuck, it was no way out of it anymore.

"I have to go," She tried hiding her face, moving past him.

Her voice was recognizable.

Abel took her arm.

"Rose?" He furrowed his brows, unsure of it.

She sighed.

"What the fuck is this?" He looked her up and down.

"You weren't replying so I started thinking—,"

"That I was fucking cheating?" he scoffed, turning for a moment. "You fucking serious right now? so now you're stalking me?" His voice was growing angrier by the minute.

"What else was I supposed to think?! you couldn't even let me know where you were!"

"You know I'm busy. I don't even have time to reply to the niggas I actually have to work with," he was trying to take it in.

"I know! I'm sorry I was just paranoid—,"

"Nah. You're fucking crazy. You're insecure, Rose,"

"Insecure?! all I'm asking for is reassurance and you're not giving me that! what the fuck?!"

"I trusted you. You can't even fucking trust me."

"I do trust you—,"

"You're unbelievable."

"Abel listen,"

"Go home, Rose."

He made his way towards the door.

Rose tried to keep from crying; her eyes watering as she looked at herself in the mirror.

She walked out, finding Tyler sat on his phone the same place she'd left him.

"Let's go," She pulled on him.

"What happened?!" He noticed Rose's running eye makeup.

She ignored him, pushing past people as she made her way to the car outside.

Tyler caught up.

He pulled her arm back.

"Can you fucking stop for a minute?!"

"He caught me." Rose wiped her eyes.

"In the bathroom?"

"He said I was too paranoid—," she spoke softly, looking down. "I think we're done."

Tyler sighed, pulling her into him.

"It's not your fault."

She wouldn't let Tyler go as the tears kept running.

...

The whole ride was silent, Rose blowing cigarette smoke out of Tyler's window. The breeze felt good.

Once back at Frank's, she smashed the nub on the ground as she got out and unlocked her car.

"You're not gonna say goodnight?" Tyler called.

She turned to look at him for a moment.

"Thanks for tonight. Really. I don't know what I would've done if you weren't there."

His face softened.

"It's good."

He wasn't much of a talker when it came to being serious.

"Goodnight."

"Night."

Rose made her way out of the lot.
