Seido sat with a small lead against Yakushi….3 to 1….It was a lead, but it wasn’t one anyone from Seido was comfortable with.

Seido’s fieldsmen and outfield were doing their job keeping Yakushi busy. Hikaru laughed as Miyuki tried to talk to him only to be ignored. Hikaru walked up to the batter’s box.

‘My shoulder stings a little…so why not start out opposite?’ hikaru thought

Hikaru walked into the opposite batter’s box. Raichi shouted to his teammates:

“HEY! IT’S HIKARU! THE BOY I WAS TELLING YOU ABOUT!”

Hikaru noticed it but their faces’ paled.

‘Idiots.’Hikaru thought

The pitcher threw the ball to Hikaru,

‘Low inside fastball…are you kidding?’Hikaru thought

Hikaru whinnied and hit the ball. Seido smiled as they heard the ball hit the bat loudly. Raichi’s dad watched with a frown on his face as the ball zoomed into the outfield, just like Raichi’s first at bat against Ichida. Hikaru sat his bat down and started to run the bases.  But when Hikaru was coming up to Raichi he said:

“No offense but that was boring.”

Raichi’s dad heard it and smirked…he could see Raichi’s determination as Hikaru jogged onto home. Hikaru walked back to the dugout and was welcomed with pats on the back and a promise by Miyuki to a milkshake.

Furuya was at bat next, Hikaru smirked as Furuya did what Furuya did best. Furuya hit the ball and it flew right to where Hikaru’s hit. Hikaru turned to Miyuki and replied:

“Why can’t you be like Furuay?”

“SHUT UP!”Miyuki cried

“It’s 5 to 1, but I still don’t feel like I can relax…”Hikaru said

Hikaru stood in the dugout…as his teammates shouted encouragement to him. About that time coach turned to the boys in the dugout and said:

“Miyuki, it’s sooner than we expected.”

Miyuki looked up at Coach while he said:

“but I’m switching Furuya from their second Cycle.”

Hikaru and Miyuki were astonished but Miyuki replied:

“Oh, Okay…”

Coach then turned to Hikaru.

“Hikaru go practice with your brother.”Coach said
