Crash!

Seokjin immediately stood up from his bed where he's currently reading and went to the living room. He found his little standing over a broken vase, about to pick up the pieces of glass.

"Namjoon, no! Stay where you are. Let daddy take care of it."

Startled, the little began to cry silently as he watched his daddy clean the mess.

Once done, Seokjin looked over to Namjoon and was surprised to see him trying to suppress his sobs. He immediately went to him and carried him to their couch.

"Oh, baby. Why is Nammie crying?", Seokjin cooed as he wiped away the little's tears and brushed his bangs away from his face.

"Nammie sowwy daddy. Nammie broke rule that's why vase broke.", the little confessed in hiccups.

"What do you mean, baby?"

"Nammie playing with ball inside house. Ball bounced high and hit vase. So sowwy daddy.", Namjoon answered while playing with his fingers, refusing to look at his daddy.

"Now you know why daddy tells you not to play ball inside the house. You could have been hurt by the broken glass. Don't do that again, okay?", Seokjin told Namjoon firmly.

"Yes, daddy. Nammie won't do it again. Daddy punish Nammie?", Namjoon looked at his daddy with wide worried eyes.

Seokjin considered it. Namjoon did break a rule. But seeing how upset, guilty and repentant his little is, he decided against it.

"No, baby. Not this time. Just promise daddy you won't do it again, okay?", Seokjin answered while hugging the boy.

"O-okay, daddy. Thank you, daddy.", Namjoon said and kissed his caregiver.

"Hey, baby. Why are you sulking here in the bedroom. Come, let's watch Netflix downstairs.", Seokjin called for Namjoon when he saw him curled up in their bed with all the lights off.

"Not little, hyung.", Namjoon sniffed.

"Babe? Are you crying? What's wrong?", the older asked, concerned, immediately coming over and enveloping his boyfriend in a warm hug.

"I'm a nuisance, hyung. I broke the vase your late bestfriend gave you. You love that vase. It's special to you. But I broke it because little me couldn't follow a simple rule. You should have punished me, hyung.", Namjoon replied now openly crying.

The vase was a birthday gift by Seokjin's bestfriend, Leo. He suddenly passed away due to a car accident. Seokjin placed the beloved vase in their living room as a way to honor his bestfriend. Little Nammie knows not to touch it. Even Namjoon, known for his clumsiness do not dare to touch it.

"Oh, babe. Little Nammie is more important than a vase. Yes, I love that vase dearly but I have lots of memories of Leo that cannot be replaced. That's what's more important, not the vase. The vase will get broken one way or another, that's inevitable. So don't worry about it.", Seokjin assured Namjoon.

"You're just saying that, hyung. I saw you crying in the kitchen when you took the garbage out.", Namjoon said as he sat up on their bed.

Seokjin sighed as he pulled his boyfriend to his chest and stroked his head. "Of course, I was sad. But don't worry about it. I'm okay now, I promise. Don't beat yourself up for it. Accidents happen."

Namjoon sniffed. "Are you sure, hyung?"

"Yes. So, don't be sad anymore. And join me downstairs. I'm getting lonely. Cuddle with me.", Seokjin pouted.

Namjoon, meanwhile, blushed as his boyfriend/caregiver kissed him.

"Okay, hyung. Popcorn?"

Seokjin laughed. "Of course, babe. Let's go!"

*****

They just finished a movie and Namjoon's now laying his head on his boyfriend's lap.

"Hyung? Thank you for taking good care of me. I promise to be good in and out of little space."

Seokjin chuckled as he stroke the younger's hair. "You're welcome, babe. I love taking care of you and little Nammie."

Namjoon giggled. "I love you so much, hyung."

"I love you too, Namjoon."

They were silent for awhile until Namjoon yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"Daddy? Nammie sleepy..."

Seokjin smiled fondly at his boyfriend. "Is that you, Nammie? My baby's sleepy? Okay, let's wash up and go to bed, darling."

"Uppies!", Nammie making grabby hands at his daddy.

The caregiver laughed as he effortlessly lifted the little. "Okay, baby. Let's go!"

Once in their bed and freshened up, Nammie cuddled with his daddy.

"Nammie sorry, daddy. Please forgive Nammie."

"Baby, don't worry about it. Daddy already forgave you. Daddy's not mad, okay?", Seokjin assured the little.

"Thank you, daddy. Love you."

"I love you too, baby. Now go to sleep."

Seokjin hummed and played with the little's hair until he fell asleep. He looked at Nammie fondly and kissed his forehead. Yes, his heart broke when he found out that his precious vase was destroyed but his memories are already forever etched in his mind and heart. And that's what's more important. Moreso, his little is much more important than an object that can be broken.

Seokjin turned off the lights and fell asleep contented with his little/boyfriend by his side.
