...
"Dory. Do you see anything?" Marlin asked quietly.
"AAAAH! Something's got me!" Dory yelled out, feeling something grab her fin.
"Sorry! That was me." Sebrina answered. Dory seemed surprised by this as if she didn't know her.
"*Gasp!* Who's there?" Dory asked as she looked around.
"Dory. Who else would it be?" Sebrina said again as she held an 'Are you serious' look.
"Calm down, Dory. It's just Sebrina." Marlin explained, luckily knowing that voice from anywhere.
"Well, then who are YOU?" Dory asked him with concern. Marlin rolled his eyes. Already, she had forgotten who he was. If that's how this was going to go, it would take forever to find Nemo!
"Dory, who could it be? It's ME." He slightly scolded.
"Are...are you my conscience?"
Marlin knew this wasn't going to work out so instead, he decided to play along.
"Y-yeah! I'm your conscience. We haven't spoken in a while. How are you?" Marlin asked acting like a ghost of some sort. Sebrina rolled her eyes and went along with it as well.
"Mmm. Can't complain." Dory smiled in return.
"Mm good. Now Dory I want you to tell me. Do you see anything?" Marlin asked. Listening to her 'conscience', Dory began to look at her surroundings.
"I see a...I see a light." Dory mumbled.
"A light?" Marlin and Sebrina asked in unison.
"Yeah. Over there." Dory answered again, pointing to a small light in the distance.
"Hey, conscience. Am I dead?" Dory asked Marlin and he shook his head, wondering what the strange light is.
"No, no. I see it too." He spoke.
Interested, all three of them swam over to it. Sebrina was just thankful they could see now.
"What is that?" She asked softly.
"It's so...pretty..." Dory mumbled, admired it to its full potential. They all felt like they were in a trans now and it made them feel slightly weird.
"I...I'm feeling...happy...which is a big deal...for me." Marlin explained slowly, unable to remove his big grin.
"Wow..." Sebrina smiled uncontrollably.
"I want to touch it." Dory finally lifted her fin to touch it but the light started to sway around in response.
"Hey. Come back! Come on back here!" Marlin said, playfully. They all started swaying around trying to catch it. Even Sebrina couldn't help it as she chuckled.
"I'm gonna get ya!" Dory teased around.
"I'm gonna swim with you... I'm gonna be your best friend..." Marlin mumbled happily. The three of them saw nothing wrong with this as they laughed and tried catching the light.
Only to turn around and see razor-sharp teeth.
"Good feeling's gone!" Marlin said with wide eyes.
"Uh oh..." Sebrina muttered worriedly.
The monster turned out to be an anglerfish as it glowed up and hissed at them. The three of them screamed and swam for their lives. The anglerfish wasn't far behind on their trail as it swam into rocks trying to catch a meal.
"I can't see! I don't know where I'm going!" Marlin yelled as Dory screamed again. Shortly after, they managed to swim by the mask, which was sitting on a rock.
"THE MASK!" Marlin yelled in surprisement.
"Where?!" Sebrina yelled quickly.
"What mask?" Dory asked in wonder. Sebrina grabbed her and the three of them ducked before they could get eaten.
The anglerfish swam over them, trying to find them. If they stayed quiet, maybe they could get the mask without getting caught.
"Okay... I can't see a thing." Dory muttered. The anglerfish turned around to see Dory behind the mask and Marlin and Sebrina next to her.
So much for that plan.
"Oh, dear..." Sebrina watched as the monster turned around and started heading right for them.
"Hey look! A mask!" Dory pointed out delightfully
"Dory, READ IT!" Sebrina yelled. She and Marlinsuddenly swam away as Dory complained about needing more light. Marlin and Sebrina split up, making the anglerfish chase Marlin. Sebrina helped him out by taunting the anglerfish.
"That's...great! Keep it right there!" Dory said.
"JUST READ IT!" Marlin yelled, still being chased by the hungry monster.
"Okay! Okay! Mr. Bossy! Um P. Okay P! Sheeeuuuuurr...P. Sher? P. Sherley?" Dory tried pronouncing it. The Anglerfish got the two clownfish stuck in between a rock and a hard place. However, Sebrina got ahold of its light, making it unable to eat Marlin.
"Ummm oh uh. First line's P. Sherman!" Dory explained to them proudly.
"P. Sherman doesn't make any seeeeense!" Sebrina yelled as the anglerfish finally got out of the rocks, carrying Sebrina along the way. She still held on to the light, trying not to let go.
"Um okay. Second line. Fourty twooo. 42! Wallla-" Dory tried again and again. However, Sebrina was having trouble keeping the anglerfish under control. The Anglerfish repeatedly tried to eat Sebrina but missed. Marlin swam away from it while it chased Marlin and tried eating Sebrina at the same time.
Suddenly, the anglerfish got ahold of the light and got Sebrina and the light in its mouth.
"Sebrina?..." Marlin called in worry.
"Light please!" Dory commanded out loud.
The anglerfish turned on its light, glowing red and showing Sebrina struggling to get out.
"Walla-wallabeee?" Dory pronounced. Sebrina finally got out but when the anglerfish tried eating her again, she let go, causing the Anglerfish to chew on its light.
"Haha! Chew on tha-!" Sebrina taunted as the anglerfish screamed in agony.
"Come on!" Marlin yelled as he grabbed Sebrina's fin before she could continue taunting and swam over to Dory and the mask.
"The second line is 42 Wallaby way!" Dory said. Marlin tried to make her hurry up without making Dory guess with overpressure.
"Silllliii? Siiiid siiiiiideney..." Dory kept on wording out. Just as the anglerfish was about 3 feet away, Dory figured it out.
"Sydney. Sydney! IT'S SYDNEY!" Dory cheered.
"DUCK!" Marlin shouted as he tried to pull up the mask.
"AHH!!" Dory and Sebrina yelled as they ducked.
...
"I'm dead. I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead. I died. I did." Marlin said repeatedly. He then looked up and noticed the mask on the anglerfish! It was stuck!
"Wahoo! 🎶We did it! We did it! Oh yeah yeah yeah...🎶." Marlin sang. Dory and Sebrina showed up and, o course, Dory started singing with him as well. Sebrina just laughed.
"🎶No no no eating here tonight you're on a diiiiet!🎶" Dory was interrupted when Marlin stopped singing and called her name.
"So what did it say? What did the mask say?" Marlin asked.
"P. Sherman 42 Wallaby way, Sydney. *Gasp!* I remembered what it said!" Dory cheered, grabbing Marlin in excitement.
"I usually forget things but I remembered it that time! P. Sherman 40-" Dory continued on happily as Sebrina interrupted her.
"Wait! Now where is that?" She asked in wonder.
"I don't know...but who cares? Ha ha! I remembered!" Dory cheered once again. The anglerfish suddenly screeched startling the three of them. Quickly, they began swimming back upwards.
"P. Sherman 42 Wallaby way, Sydney! I remembered it AGAIN!!" Dory laughed happily.
"Good job!" Sebrina cheered with her as well.
Marlin just rolled his eyes and smiled by their enthusiasm.
