Today, the 8th of March, 2020, is International Women's Day. Now for those of us who are women, today is the day to celebrate ourselves and the women around us, whether they are out sisters. mothers, daughters, aunties, grandmas, cousins, friends, work colleagues or just someone who inspires you, be it a celebrity, teacher, activist, doctor, scientist, or even writer. 

As a woman on Wattpad, and someone who has been on the platform for over 7 years, I've met so many incredible women on this site, who inspire others, are as strong as can be and as brave as ever. Young and old, experienced and inexperienced, every single woman on this platform has their worth, and today I'm going to celebrate those that inspire me, make me fall in love with writing again, or have become some of my favourite people. 

Fandom_Feelz is a force to be reckoned with, and one of my closest ever friends, she one of the best people I know. With a phenomenal writing skill and the best heart to boot, she's everything you would expect as a brave and selfless young woman.

tinkertaydust is another writer that I absolutely adore. For some reason, every single piece she writes is enchanting and pulls you in so quickly you feel like you're in another world. Her words and characters exude love and honesty, and she's created some of the best female characters on this platform, such as Florence. She stands her ground when someone starts to blast negativity on her page or on her books, and it's guaranteed that she's one of the friendliest people on this site. 

caradunes is another phenomenal force to be reckoned with, and as one of my favourite writers, you always know that whatever she publishes will be a work of art. Unique, extraordinary and altogether a beautiful person, she has everyone in the palm of her hand when something new comes out from her account.  

These women are as strong, powerful, beautiful and kind as they come, and they make Wattpad a better place for it. 

In all honestly, we couldn't have Wattpad without women. Whether you're a writer or reader or both, every single woman on this site should be celebrated, and not just today, every day. Because we all make a difference to someone on this site, and you might not realise it, but you're able to read because women before you fought for their right to read, and you're able to write these incredible stories because those before you fought for their right to tell stories and have their works of art published. 

Nothing in this world could have been done without a woman, remember that.
