Walking into the shop, I immediately saw a boy around twenty, cowering behind a shelf. I worked in a bookshop halftime, the other time spending either in school or studying. My shift was starting in fifteen minutes, Sonny having the one before me. I walked to my raven haired friend, greeting him. "Have you seen him already? What's up with him?", I pointed to the upset boy, who looked like he had been crying. "I don't know. He came in about ten minutes ago, crying. Then he hid behind that shelf and hasn't come out since.", Sonny answered, "I wanted to go to him, but it was too busy here." I nodded and told him I wanted to check up on the boy. Him agreeing.

I walked over to the boy, approaching him slowly. Kneeling down in front of him. His gaze lowered to the floor, head resting on his arms, which were resting on top of his knees. He hadn't noticed me yet. "Hey", I said softly, placing my hand on his leg. The boy jumped slightly, looking up at me. He smiled slightly and his blue eyes glistening with tears. I smiled back at him. "Are you okay?", I asked. He nodded. But after a short pause he shook his head. His lower lip quivered. I opened my mouth to say something, but he interrupted me. "I'm Harper..." I smiled. He was adorable, yet so precious. "Rye", I answered, telling him my name. "Want to tell me what happened?" He nodded and smiled. The blue eyed looked genuinely thankful that I cared and would listen to him. After he had asked me to go somewhere more private, we walked into the staff room in the back. I told Sonny to cover the start of my shift and luckily the kind soul agreed. I mouthed a quick thank you to him and led Harper to the back.

I told him to sit down on the table, that stood in the room. "I- can I trust you?", the blonde asked. "Of course you can!", I said softly. Harper sighed and closed his eyes. I was confused, just staring at him. Then something happened. Slowly his hair moved, what looked like on its own. Suddenly, something poked out between the blonde locks. It grew bigger, and now I could recognise it as gorgeous brown cat ears. At first I was shocked and confused, but then I put one and one together. He was a hybrid. I was amazed by his beauty. My hand moved forward and into his hair, scratching behind his soft ears. Harper leaned into my touch and closed his eyes contently, a purr leaving his lips. Then I felt something at my hips. Looking down, I noticed it was a soft, furry tail. It wrapped itself around my waist, pulling me closer. Harper's arms found their way around my neck, while mine still rested in his hair. I stared into his blue eyes, his staring right back at mine. Slowly, I leaned in and pressed a short peck to his lips. I already felt so much appreciation for him.

Actually, I have no idea what that is, and I don't like it very much. I still hope you enjoyed it, though. Please vote, comment and request.
In Austria the schools (and much more) are closed, starting next monday, to try slow down the spreading of the coronavirus. So, since I won't have school the following weeks I hope I'll have more time to write. I can't promise anything though, as I have so many worksheets and papers to do. I'll try my best. <3 <3
