Training 4

After Stiles beat their asses the pack decided it was time to snap up on their training, Despite being difficult for each other to fight they actually gave Stiles a bit more of a challenge but couldn't beat him, except Boyd but Boyd was bigger and Stiles still didn't go down easy, the only other wolf he couldn't beat was Derek, Stiles figured last time the older went easy on him so he could win at least once, Today was assessment day, which was a week after Stiles made Dinner with Talia, his thoughts where all over the place still, he still met Derek 3 times a week and that didn't really help, neither did sitting in the meeting place an hour early like always "why are you so nervous?"

Stiles head snapped up to meeting Derek's worried gaze "I'm... there is liturally no point in saying I'm not... remember last week" Derek nodded slowly "your mum asked me something and it's just been playing on my mind a bit that's all"

Derek frowned before crouching in front of Stiles "don't let it bother you to much Sti" giving Stiles a small smile which he offers back "why don't you run with me, help get your mind off things before the whole assessment?"

Stiles nods and gets up to run with Derek, after the hour is up and the pack is due to be here Derek carries Stiles back on his back not wanting to ware the boy down, he may not be a wolf but he will still be assessed like the rest of them, he wants to join the pack just like the others, Talia is quite strict when it comes to things like this.

Stiles had his arms and legs wrapped around Derek head resting on the mans back "you don't have to carry me Derek" he mumbles softly

"I know"' he walks to the clearing gently letting Stiles go as the boy lands on his feet, the frown grew on Derek's face as his mother and Laura arrived and the teens where not here yet "hey mum" he greeted

"Hello Derek, and Stiles, where are the rest?"

"Late as always" Stiles mumbled

"Late?" Talia raised an eyebrow to her son who only nodded "how late are they usually?"

"About half an hour to an hour" Derek answered frowning at the floor now

"We tried to get them to come on time but that again only worked for a few days" Stiles said scratching the back of his head

"I got Stiles to beat every single one of them, the day I wrapped his hands with ice" Derek responded

"Let's go" Talia said and the boys looked at her confused "I'm not waiting for them, if they want to be part of this pack then they will find us"

Stiles gave Derek a look, there is one thing the pack hasn't improved on and that is tracking "ok" Derek states "but that might take even longer" Talia just smiled to her son before walking away

"It will probably take them an hour to figure out we left" Stiles said and Talia chuckled before leading the way to a small hut nearer the edge of the territory

By the time the pack started to arrive 3 hours later Stiles had fallen asleep leaning on Derek, Derek fighting his own dozing, only lifting his head as the door was knocked on, no surprise with Erica and Lydia being the first two to arrive, and taking another hour for them all to show up Scott being the last, Talia ushered the teens outside leaving Derek on the couch with Stiles who had eventually fell asleep as well upon waiting for Scott's late arrival, Laura snapped a quick picture of the two boys before following out after her mother and watching the group, and listening to her mother on how shes assessing them, being the next Alpha Laura pays close attention to what her mother says

A few hours later Stiles shuffled in his sleep gently nuzzling his face into Derek's neck earning a gentle pleasant noise from the older wolf before Stiles quickly sat up and stared at the man, at the lose of contact Derek's eyes shot open his head turning to look at Stiles before he frowned at the look on Stiles face "you ok?"

"Yeah but" Stiles glanced around "I fell asleep" Stiles mumbled with a frown getting up off the couch "where did your mum and sister go?"

Derek was silent for a moment listening "they are outside, with your friends" Derek got up and looked out the window "She's observing the pack"

Stiles pursed his lips and frowned at the floor "did I miss the assessment?" Derek looked over at the sad look on Stiles "does that mean I wouldn't be able to be pack?"

Derek shook his head "I think my mum already made a decision Sti" Derek rested his hand on Stiles shoulder "come on let's go see how well they are doing, I promise it's going to be fine" Stiles nodded and followed Derek outside

Talia looked at the two boys with a soft smile, before frowning at the sad look on Stiles "what's the matter dear"

"He thinks he missed the assessment and wont be allowed to be part of the pack" Derek explains after watching Stiles avert his eyes from Talia to the floor

"Oh Dear, I don't need to assess you, I trust my sons judgement, If I was going to assess you I would have woken you up" Laura continued to watch the teens work scruffy through the lists of tasks they been given, Talia placed a comforting hand on Stiles shoulder "but I think they could do with some help"

Stiles smile only grew as he looked at Derek "see, told you you're fine" Stiles nodded and went to the others to get the tasks finished which happened relatively quicker since Stiles took control, the last was combat which Stiles shamelessly and proudly beat the wolves after they had their attacks with each other, letting out a squeak as he almost gets tackled by Derek narrowly dodging the older ones attack before gracelessly tripping them both over into a laughing fit, Derek got up and offered Stiles a hand smiling still while ignoring the stares of everyone else

Stiles grabbed hold of Derek's hand being pulled back up to his feet with a smile as Talia ushered the others back inside Derek soon following with Stiles hand in his leading them both back to where they woke up "I'm going to take it you told him" Scott said gesturing to the pairs intwined hands

"No" Derek answered with a scowl towards the younger wolf as Stiles looked at them confused

"Told who what" Stiles questioned

Derek opened his mouth to answer nothing but Laura cut him off "Derek has a secret crush on someone and doesn't want to tell them yet"

Stiles head whipped around to look at the older male who was now gaping at his sister "who"

Everyone practically face palmed and Derek stopped gaping before rolling his eyes and turning away from the youngers gaze "it doesn't matter"

Stiles pouted moving to be in Derek's face again "tell me" he whined, keeping to repeat it for the next 10 minutes while Derek continued to turn away from the younger male until his words were cut by Derek's lips on his for a brief second, Stiles eyes widened slightly as his movements froze

"Does that answer your question" he grunted out

Stiles sat back into his seat blushing and staring up at Derek "you like me?" Derek didn't look at Stiles as he nodded he was to busy glaring at the smirks on the rest of the teens in the room and his sister specially his sister "well that's great, now I don't have to use all my werewolf training beating someone up"

Derek's head shot to look at Stiles "what?"

"If you had a crush on someone else Derek Hale I would have chased them away" Stiles stated straight into Derek's face with a grin, Derek just blinked for a moment before pulling Stiles back in for another short kiss before Talia was calling them all for food

"You are all done well though there are plenty of improvements to be made by you lot, for now though you are fine, keep training and keep being late I'll be the one dealing with you all and not my son" Talia spoke aiming it to the teenage wolves a soft smile on her lips "and you to Stiles" the boy drew his attention from Derek who was still trying to avoid his gaze "you are one strong human and is very welcome to this pack, besides I don't think I have a choice with how much my boy likes you" she teased lightly causing Derek to groan and try to hide away once again

A/N sorry for such a long wait for this update, i been going through a rough time but all is well and hopefully things will get better soon, yeah this is a final one for this shot, I hope the ending wasn't to bad, going to try and concentrate on my stories for a bit x hope you all are well, try not to get confused I sort my shots so they carry on from one another x.x
