Hades

Stella's warm body was pressed against mine. She leaned back against me, resting her head on my chest. It felt good.

Persephone had never been the cuddly type, and I was. I loved it. Especially with someone whom I really cared about. Like Stella.

The water got cold, before Stella moved. With a sigh she rose, water dripping from her naked body.

She wrapped a towel around her body and looked at me. "It feels so real when silence shared is comfortable."

I got out of the water and briskly dried the water off before wrapping the towel around my waist. "Yeah." I had to agree on that one. "Why did you write me a letter?"

She shrugged. "I felt like it? I'm not big on romance, but it feels like a nice gesture. To put into words how you feel, you know."

I nodded. "What is it you're worried about concerning Lucinda?"

Stella shook her head. "I don't know. It just felt like something was off the other day. I don't think it was anything."

"Okay," I pulled Stella into me, hugging her to me. The weird sense of loss came over me, but she was right here. Not lost to me.

"I'm going to miss you," she whispered against my skin.

I hated this right now. "You most likely won't even remember me." I muttered and pressed a kiss to her hair.

She pulled back slightly and looked at me. "But now I miss my family. My friends. My life. And when I leave, you'll be able to remember me. It just doesn't feel fair. For either one of us!"

I gently kissed her. "Then let's make the time we have count."

She kissed my chest. "You smell way too good, did you know that?"

I smiled. "I think that's very subjective."

"Maybe," she said, dismissively.

"You are quit intoxicating yourself." I tipped her head back and kissed her. Pressed my lips to hers.
