Kyle pushes open the door and enters Willy's. As he is walking over to the bar he is beaming with excitement. "Hola!" Moni looks up from the bottle with the sweet black liquid she is pouring into glasses and starts smiling. "Hey, what's up?" "Oh nothing, nothing special. Except for..." Kyle's grin is wide and he lets out a small giggle. "What? You look like you just won the lottery!" "No, this is much better. Do you wanna see?" "Yes!" He takes a deep breath to calm himself down and then lifts up his right arm, presenting his hand to the waitress. Her eyes widen. "No!" She grabs his hand and leans forward to take a closer look at the silver ring. "When...how...who?" Kyle tries his best to not start screeching like a little girl. "Last night. You know the Conservatory in Garfields Park?" "Oh my god, of course I do! It's beautiful there! And the ring, wow. So you're marrying the hottie you were here with last time? I didn't know you have been together for that long already. You never mentioned him." Kyle slowly turns the ring on his finger, looking at the small opal turning the ceiling lights into rainbow colours. "We...we haven't." "What?" He shrugs his shoulders and smiles peacefully. "It's still pretty fresh." Moni doesn't look as excited anymore. She raises her eyebrows. "And you're already engaged? Don't you think that's a bit...rushed?" Kyle shakes his head. "No. He's the one. I know people usually are together for years before marrying but he's the man I want to get old with so why wait?" "I don't know. You could regret your decision. Or maybe he turns out to be someone you didn't think he was once you get to know him better. I don't want you to get hurt. You're just very..." "What?" Kyle's smile fades. He raises an eyebrow. Moni sighs. "You tend to behave pretty naively sometimes. I mean you're smart and self-determined but also very loving and emotionally invested. No one is perfect, Kyle. And you shouldn't give everything you have to someone you barely know and who is ogling you." Kyle slowly pulls back his arm. That is not the reaction he was expecting. He was so excited. He wanted to tell her about their wedding plans, what the proposal looked like and tell her how amazing Stan is. But he doesn't feel like it anymore. "Do you really have to ruin this moment for me? You shouldn't be talking about my fiance like that." "What? No! I'm just trying to-" "I should leave now. I have to go to work." Kyle turns around before Moni can see his face pulling together in anger. Stan is not like those other guys. He would never hurt him. "Kyle, wait!" But he ignores her calls and leaves the diner without looking back.

It takes Kyle a while to get his mind off the fight earlier. Moni is one of the only friends he has. She should be happy for him, not lecture him. But whatever. Her loss, not his. Other thoughts start clustering his mind instead. He'll have to talk to his boss. Now that Kyle is engaged, he can't continue like this. He can't sleep with other men for money while being in a serious relationship. He never told Stan about those...extra services. Stan thinks all he does is dance. Kyle was too embarrassed to tell him the whole truth, scared he might be disgusted and walk away. Well he doesn't have to find out. Kyle will tell his boss how he feels and never think about it again. He is just a bit scared about his boss' reaction. He has no idea how he will react. The man could be fine with it. Or he could get angry and fire him. That wouldn't be good. Kyle needs the money and he has no education. The only thing apart from dancing he's good at is making coffee. Fuck. After his last dance of the night he stands in the changing room, brushing his curly hair when one of his co workers sticks his head through the door. "Boss is asking for you." "Oh alright, I'll just finish getting dressed first." "He said you should come right away." The man leaves and Kyle looks down at himself. He's a bit uncomfortable as he is only wearing underwear and a shirt right now. He quickly throws over a bathrobe and then leaves the changing room. His boss doesn't like to wait. He's actually nice most of the time and quite funny but sometimes he just has his...phases. Hopefully not today. Kyle quickly makes his way to the office and knocks on the door. His eyes glide over the other door leading to the storage room. He blushes while remembering his first time with Stan. "Yes." Kyle takes a deep breath and pushes down the door handle. The office is filled with heavy wooden furniture and cigar smoke. A man in his fifties with a black moustache dressed in a suit is sitting behind the desk. He has put his jacket over the chair. "Java, my pearl. You wanted to talk to me? Sit down!" Kyle closes the door behind him and walks over to the desk. "What is it this time? Do you want to report a customer or do you need anything else? Just tell me, I'll fix it." "Thank you Mr Castillo but no, I..." He clears his throat. He went through what he should say in his head but all of a sudden it's all gone. "I love dancing here and so far I've been very happy with my job but things have...changed in my life. I just don't think I can continue offering extra services." Mr Castillo shows no reaction, instead he pulls on his cigar. "That's a pity. You're a natural talent. Do you not need the money anymore?" Kyle would love to respond with being fucked is not a talent but he swallows the sentence. "It's not about money. I just don't feel comfortable doing it anymore." His boss sighs and slowly gets up. "I mean if that is your decision I can't change it. I'm just not very happy about it. Come here." He grabs Kyle's hand. The redhead hesitates. This doesn't feel right. But then he gets up as well. Mr Castillo pulls him over to the couch. "Let's sit down for a minute." "I don't think that's necessary. I have to leave soon. I thought we could make it quick." The man ignores his words and pulls on his arm so that Kyle falls onto the sofa. "This is not something that should be rushed. Why do you look scared all of a sudden? Relax, love." Kyle feels a hand on his shoulder slowly pushing away the bath robe. Only now he realizes what is happening. But it's already too late. "What made you change your mind? Do you suddenly think you're too good for that kind of work?" "No Sir, I just...I-" The man unties the bathrobe. Kyle tries to get up but he pulls him back down. "Where are you going, angel?" The robe lands on the floor. He pushes Kyle so that he falls backwards. "Please, d-d-don't." Everything inside of him screams to run away but he freezes instead. No. "Don't what?" The man appears above him. "You never had a problem with that until now. You've been here more than once asking for a raise and I always gave you what you wanted in return for a small favor. Such a small favor. Why is it a problem all of a sudden?" Kyle doesn't know what to answer. The sound of his heart racing drowns his thoughts. "Come on, angel." The man is smiling but his eyes are hungry. He leans back and grabs Kyle's waist, forcing him to turn around until he is lying on his stomach. "N-n-no, please!" "Sssh, I know that you want it." He doesn't even bother taking off Kyle's shirt. Instead he grabs the rim of his trunks, slowly pulling them down. Kyle finally unfreezes and starts kicking, trying to get up, but his boss holds him down. He is so much stronger. Too strong. Kyle doesn't give up. He kicks while his underwear lands on the floor next to the robe. He kicks and winds while he hears a belt being opened. And he tries to fight back while his boss leans down and whispers in his ear. "I like your temperament but you should hold still now or this could get really ugly." "Sir, please! Don't!" The man chuckles. Kyle's eyes start filling with water. "I don't care how often you tell me no. You're a whore like all the others. No matter how often you tell yourself that you got class and self respect, you're begging to be fucked." Kyle's vision is completely blurry now. His body is getting tired. There's no escape. He probably deserves this. Kyle feels two hands grabbing his ass. And then it happens. Without a warning and without protection. He's completely dry. But Kyle doesn't feel the pain. His head is lying on the arm rest. With slightly parted lips and empty eyes he stares into nothing. Stan's face slowly fades away while the man keeps thrusting into his body. Faster and harder. Rough fingers on cold skin. Kyle's body is weak. He closes his eyes. As a single tear rolls down his cheek, he can feel a part of him dying.
