It was eight o' clock in the morning.

Irene scoffed as she noticed the said time on her wristwatch. She had been traveling from six-thirty just to get to the city. She wished she hadn't dreamed about her father killing her.

Still, it was a clear warning. Ares was after her, and he did not want her alive. He was going to hunt her down just for befriending Taehyung, Jennie, and Jisoo, the people who she was suppose to make miserable during their recent quest.

Thinking of the dream sent a shiver down Irene's spine and made her almost trip over a particularly long root on the ground. She did not want to contemplate about it for the time being. She shook her head, and slapped her own cheek to make herself focus on something else.

She instead focused on her surroundings. She noticed that there were a few bunnies hopping around. They looked at her as if they were actually smiling. Irene couldn't help but wave at them like a baby. (Well she is, duh.)

The leaves of the trees were falling down. Irene felt one drop on her head. She took it, and looked at it carefully. It was a dark shade of brown and was extremely dry. She felt it between her fingers.

She began to pale. Was it autumn?

She looked back at the path she had taken. All the leaves were brown and yellow, confirming that it was autumn. Irene was Artemis' Hunter and loyal lieutenant; that was why she could tell weather without looking at the weather broadcast and know where a monster's tracks were.

So if it was autumn, it would be winter soon, right?

Irene was afraid. What would she do when winter came? It would be cold....ever so cold.

Irene hissed in frustration. She continued walking through crunchy leaves, hoping to reach the city. She usually didn't show her anger this much, but she was alone, so she did.

She ate some of the pork along the way. She was still hungry, though she tried to save as much food as possible. She wanted to eat and eat and eat. She drank a bit of water just to moisten her lips, and continued walking.

She caught sight of a building. It was tall, and was painted white. It had glass windows, and she could witness people through the windows who were typing on keyboards and opening folders.

Her heart beat faster. Was it finally the city?

She ran even if her legs were sore and her throat was raw. She ran quicker than she ever did in her entire life. She was excited. She was anticipating her goal.

Her feet touched pavement. When she looked up, buildings of Korea's most successful companies replaced the trees who were towering above her. She could smell food from five-star restaurants. Irene could hear cars honking their horns, and the screeches of motorcycles rushing down the road. Above the roads were streetlights and traffic signs.
