The next couple of weeks went by with no fires and no calls

Jordan began to wonder if his brother left the state

The leads on the arson's seemed to dwindle and work on Knight Forensics continued

"Do you think he moved out of state ?"Mattie asked one night after they finished dinner

"If he has I don't think it'll be long before he's back in Boston .He can't stay away "

"How long was it the last time ?"

"A few weeks so he's due to be back and especially since his wife didn't go with him "

"He'll stir the pot like he always does "

Jordan nodded in agreement

"I have the reports from the porch fire the same accelerant was used at all the other fires "

Jordan turned his head in the direction of Henry's voice

"It has to be him "

"It's an industrial brand which means he's getting it from a supplier "Mattie pointed out as she read over the report

"Aiden is the only one with credentials to order it because of the police department so Richard must have had him order it "Jordan said thinking out loud

"Didn't he graduate from the fire academy when he was just out of high school ?"

"The summer before he went to the police academy "

"Wait Aiden was a firefighter ?"Mattie asked

Jordan nodded

"And he's kept all of his certifications up ?"Henry asked

"As far as I know "

"That's how he's getting the accelerant "Mattie surmised

"It has to be .I'm going to put in a call to the fire department headquarters and see what I can find out "Henry said before dropping another report in front of Jordan

"Which report is this ?"

"The car fire .It seems this one was started with gasoline and accelerant "

"Someone really wanted that car to burn "Jordan said frowning

"Uh huh and the fact that the brake line was cut tells me someone was looking to do more than set a fire " Henry said

"The brake line was cut ?"

Henry nodded

Mattie paled and then sat down

"He tried to kill me multiple times Jordan "

Jordan wrapped a protective arm around her shoulder

"That fucker won't do anything to you I'll kill him first "

"Obviously he has another intention and you can't be with me every second "

"From here on out you don't go anywhere without me and I'm assigning someone to you when I can't be with you "

"Jordan this is crazy"

"No he's crazy and out of control.It's time to stop him before more people get hurt or worse "

Jordan furiously typed on his phone

"What are you doing ?"

"Getting security for you "

"It's not just me he's after "

"I know but I don't want him hurting you "

Mattie rolled her eyes
