"Young lady, thank you for your words. I now know what I have to do."

Ba Zhentian smiled gratefully and folded his hands in a gesture of respect at Gu Ruoyun, "If it weren't for you, I might've walked into a dead end myself. Now I am enlightened, I shall take my leave. If you ever go to Heaven City, don't forget to come and visit my place! Haha!"

When he said this, Ba Zhentian gave two bold laughs. He turned and was about to leave when the voice of the girl made him stop.

"Wait!"

Ba Zhentian paused. He turned to look at the girl's pretty and delicate face and asked, "Young lady, is there something else?"

Gu Ruoyun flashed him a smile as her black eyes showed confidence and indifference, "Lord Ba, have you been feeling unwell recently? Is there pain in your left abdomen?"

"This..." Ba Zhentian looked at Gu Ruoyun, astonished, "How do you know this?"

"I studied medicine before and I can tell you that something ails you. Also, there is a slight blackness about your neck and your vitality is somewhat lacking, these are the signs of poisoning. Thankfully, it's a slow-acting poison and we caught it early, so it won't be much of a problem."

From when she had first seen Ba Zhentian, Gu Ruoyun knew that Ba Zhentian had been poisoned! And it was an extremely rare poison too!

General Gu spoke these words in full righteousness, as though it was Gu Ruoyun who was the bad person whose guilt was beyond forgiveness.

However, Gu Ruoyun let out a laugh instead.

For unknown reasons, looking at her smile, General Gu's heart unexpectedly shuddered. Slowly, he felt a sense of unease creeping up to his heart.

"Can I ask you this then? How could you tell that these two people that were left with nothing else but bones were actually my parents? Or did you know beforehand the location of their bones but refused to let them be buried in the ancestral hall instead? What intentions are you really harboring right now?"

General Gu was taken aback and his face flushed. His mouth gaped open and closed and he seemed not to be able to come up with any retort.

On the other hand, Elder Yu, who was listening to Gu Ruoyun's interrogation, suddenly came to his senses. His eyes locked carefully at the two bodies right in front of him before giving a sudden yelp, "No! They are not Gu Tian and his wife! Gu Tian's bones had been injured before and it had never healed. "Toying?" Gu Ruoyun lifted her brows and sneered, "Did you think that I have the spare time to play tricks with you? I just wanted to force you to hand over the bodies of my parents! At least I could let them rest in peace! I would never ever have thought that you would randomly find two bodies to trick me instead! Are you sure I am the one who is toying with you now?"

That's right! She was indeed playing tricks on him. However, she was not dumb enough to admit this to him at all.

"Haha!" General Gu laughed wildly. Gritting his teeth, he spoke ferociously, "Gu Ruoyun, I had really underestimated you! Even Elder Yu of the Hundred Herb Hall could actually be seduced by you! For the sake of your selfish desires, you went ahead and seduced an old man and even went so far as to take advantage of his name to bully others. How do you not feel the slightest shame at all?
