Gu Ruoyun's statement made Wei Yiyi do a second take on the situation. She then studied the little fellow in front of them in detail.

The little beggar's sooty face was colored with nervousness and worry. His fists were tight by his sides as he looked at the two women before him, determined and unbending.

"Interesting, eh?"

Wei Yiyi suddenly seemed to have realized something as she widened her eyes in surprise. "There seems to be an immense power sealed within the body of this boy. Besides, the four countries within the West Spirit Mainland were named after the Four Divine Beasts. Was there a relationship to this incident?

The young lady's cool voice slammed into the little beggar's heart. His head snapped up as he stared directly at Gu Ruoyun with his wide eyes. At that moment, his breathing quickened.

"Are... are you serious?"

Father had sought help from countless people all these years but his efforts had been in vain. No one had any idea on how to deal with the spiritual beast within him, only Gu Ruoyun alone had said that she has a way to help him...

His heart leaped at that notion like a spark of flame rising from within the ashes.

"I could help you but I have two requests." Gu Ruoyun said with a smile, her eyes bright, "First, the spiritual beast within you will be mine and second, you will become mine as well!"

The little beggar was stunned. Then, he was quiet. Moments passed before he angled his head up to stare unblinkingly at Gu Ruoyun again.

"Your first request... To be honest, numerous experts had tried to subdue the spiritual beast within me throughout the years. Unfortunately, none of them succeeded. Some of them were even hurt by the spiritual beast. The second request, however." The little beggar hesitated. "I'll need to ask my father."

"No problem."

Gu Ruoyun nodded. "I'll give you some time to sleep on it. If you choose to follow me, not only can I promise that the spiritual beast within you will cause you no harm, I can also provide you the fastest way to obtain power that is so strong that you will be unrivaled!"
