Abel is speeding back down the spiral road
The lights of the dustbowl now in view
"It's not that bad of a city" Abel lets out meeting my thoughts as he always does.
"Not a bad city for a vampire to hide out" I say still not fully processing the last hour.
"Easy" he says placing his right hand on my thigh.
I still need answers and he's refusing to answer any of them.
"Well since Echo is going to be out doing that for awhile you want to come back to the house"
Wait what
"What do you mean come back to the house since Echo is gone"
His eyes go wide.
He said something he wasn't supposed to.
"Just answer the question and I'll answer all yours if you choose to come" he smiles with a sense of pleasure behind it.
My skin starts to crawl at how much he has control over my actions.
"Fine" I say crossing my arms with a pouty face.
He lets out a chuckle and I keep a straight face keeping up my childish act.
Panic room by Au/Ra now playing on the stereo my body slowly moving along to the beat as we speed past our surroundings
The Acid taking another peak again swirls start to form around me as the song builds a fear based anxiety.
My breathing becoming heavier as we continue next to the ledge of the road.
Able tightens his grip around my thigh giving me a sense of nostalgia from when we last drove this road only an hour and a half ago.
"Relax" he lets out.
