Chapter 51
"Curiosity Killed the Cat"

***

NORMAL POV

The air inside the room is suffocating, at least to Miel. There are ten of them currently inside the room. He, his brother Riel, and the rest are the guards wearing those weird Hawaiian shorts.

Some of them, he remembered meeting when he spent the Christmas time inside Anna's room.

Their Chef Takei brought them here, and thinking that they would soon meet their boss made him fearful of his life.

"Calm down, Miel, stop shaking your legs. It's disturbing."

Miel looked at Riel, before rubbing his hands. His nervousness made him forget his angst towards his brother. "I can't help it. I'm scared to meet their boss. What do you think they would look like? An elderly man? A big guy? Like a sumo wrestler? Or the usual big boss that smoke?"

"I told you to calm down," Riel sighed. "Entertaining your imagination will not help you. Be patient."

"I'm trying, okay?"

They looked at the door when it opened. It made their heartbeat stopped for a moment. They relaxed when they saw Chef Takei first, the other guards stood up and bowed.

They were convinced that their chef is the boss itself. He looked at Riel when he gestured him to stand as well.

Chef Takei only spared a glance at them before stepping aside. Miel gulped, he knew they would be meeting the boss next.

But wait, where is Anna?

The next scene happened so fast Miel thought it was a dream at first. He first saw Anna stepped in, then her other guards next. The next thing he knew, all of the guards bowed lower than before.

And then Chef Takei called Anna...

"Little boss," Chef Takei bowed as well. They were both surprised when he did that. "These are the two people who followed our boys until they reached the hotel. I must say, they are very quick to do that. What do you want to do to them?"

"Don't kid them like that," Anna said with her usual sigh. "We both know the reason why I'm meeting them here."

The shock was an understatement.

"You are the boss, Anna? Seriously?" Riel managed to speak out after a moment of silence. "So all this time, you've been hiding something like this to us? Unbelievable. This is not a dream, is it?"

"Just like you two, I also hope this is nothing but a bad dream," Anna sighed. Miel knew he blushed when Anna looked at him. "I also wished having both of you here is a dream as well. What in the melons were you thinking?"

"Chef Takei must have already told you why we are here," Riel answered.

"I know that," Anna looked as if she was stressed. "Still, following a random car is too risky; what do you think your family would think if you were killed by the hotel guards?"

"But we're still alive," Miel spoke. He had already recovered from the shock. "Can you blame us for getting worried?"

Anna can't look Miel in the eye this time. She felt ashamed and embarrassed that he had to see her like this.

"Are you at least okay?" Miel continued. "Seeing your guards and how they treat you is already given; you're the boss chef Takei was talking about."

Anna flinched as though Miel slapped him in the face. She had no intention of letting him, as well as his brother, know about her real identity.

But, things had turned out this way.
