The Doctor and Ida had gone between a pair of massive pillars into an area with a lot of rubble and a big round decorated door in the floor. "We've found something. It looks like metal. Like some sort of seal. I've got a nasty feeling the word might be trapdoor. Not a good word, trapdoor. Never met a trapdoor I liked,"

"The edge is covered with those symbols," Ida explained

"Do you think it opens?" Zach asked over the comm

"That's what trapdoors tend to do," The Doctor sassed

"Trapdoor doesn't do it justice." Ida noted "It's massive, Zach. About thirty feet in diameter,"

"Any way of opening it?" Zach questioned

"I don't know. I can't see any sort of mechanism,"

"I suppose that's the writing. It'll tell us what to do. The letters that defy translation,"

"Toby, did you get anywhere with decoding it?" Zach asked

Angela looked at the comm in fear "I know what it says,"

"How do you know what it says?" Jefferson demanded

Toby turned to the group his body covered in the symbols "These are the words of the Beast. And he has woken. He is in the heart that beats in the darkness. He is the blood that will never cease. And now he will rise,"

"Officer, stand down." Jefferson ordered Toby "Stand down,"

Toby ignored Jefferson as he continued to look at Angela.

"What is it? What's he done? What's happening? Angel, what's going on?" The Doctor demanded over the comm

"Jefferson?" Zach said as well "Report. Report!"

"Officer, as Commander of Security, I order you to stand down and be confined. Immediately!" Jefferson ordered Toby.

"Not here...please not here," Angela whimpered

"He calls to you Angela Winchester, I know you can hear him to," Toby said as he took a step towards Angela who took a step back.

Jefferson put himself between the frightened Winchester and possessed Toby "Officer, you stand down and be confined,"

"Or what?"

"Or under the strictures of Condition Red, I am authorized to shoot you,"

"But how many can you kill?" Toby opened his mouth. The symbols left him and floated over to the Ood, who jerked to attention. Toby collapsed

"We are the Legion of the Beast," The Ood chanted

"Angel?" The Doctor called out over the comm "What is it, Angela? I'm going back up,"

"Report. Report!" Zach exclaimed over the comm "Jefferson, report. Someone, report!"

"The Legion shall be many, and the Legion shall be few,"

"It's the Ood." Angela said as she found her voice "Doctor, they're possessed,"

"He has woven himself in the fabric of your life since the dawn of time. Some may call him Abaddon. Some may call him Kroptor. Some may call him Satan or Lucifer,"

"Doctor whatever you do, don't let that door open,"

One Ood walked up the steps of the catwalk. It released its globe, which flew to the guard's forehead and electrocuted him. "These are the words that shall set him free. I shall become manifest. I shall walk in might. My Legions shall swarm across the worlds. I have been imprisoned for eternity. But no more."

Angela clutched her head as the demonic voice of the Ood was replaced by the familiar voice that haunted her since before Sam was put into the Cage.

"The Pit is open. And I am free,"
