Nami wasn't having as much luck as Avery. She stood in Joshua's hotel room bathroom and looked down at the bathrobe she had on.

A person isn't supposed to be living in a hotel room every weekend. Unless they're an adulterer.

"Nami, you okay in there?" Joshua asked outside the bathroom door and Nami quickly ran towards the door and opened it.

"Fine!" She answered with a smile before giving him a peck.

"Okay, that was a lie." Joshua turned to to face her and Nami stopped her walk towards the bed and turned to face him.

"What's up?" Joshua walked towards her and grabbed onto her arms and Nami let out a short sigh.

"How much do you pay for this hotel room every weekend?" Nami asked and Joshua frowned.

"Why does that matter?"

"And how much is your plane tickets to come here? How much work are you missing by spending most of your weekends and some weekdays with me here? Do your parents even agree with this? Aren't you tired of this?"

"Okay, stop." Joshua quickly shook his head. "Slow down."

"Well, I can't Josh. I don't like the idea of you living like this just so you can come visit me." Nami stepped out of his reach and turned around and walked to her small bag, trying to find clothes to put on.

Joshua let her get dressed in silence. He stood on the other side of the room and waited patiently.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked softly once Nami was fully clothed.

Taking a deep breath, Nami turned around to face him. She's about to break up with him. But she has to tell him that the reason she was doing it was because she loved him and that she didn't want to be selfish.

"Because I'm in love with you." She said firmly before walking towards him. His eyes blinked a few times as he processed the words that just left her mouth and he walked towards her.

He's been waiting so long to hear those words again.

"And I don't want your life on hold. You deserve better than that." Nami said and Joshua shook his head and walked towards her.

"I think you should go back to California. For good." Nami said and Joshua stopped walking towards her.

"You're giving up?" He asked in his spot and Nami let her shoulders hang as she sat down on the bed.

"Josh, please don't make this harder than it has to be."

"Actually, this doesn't look that hard to you at all. It looks quite fucking easy for you to just end things with me."

Nami let out a small breath through her nose before standing up from the bed and facing Joshua.

"You think it's easy for me to do this?" She asked in a low voice. Her anger was evident and Joshua could pick up on it.

"You think, me having to say goodbye to you every fucking weekend is easy? You think that I'm just going to go about my day after today and pretend that I didn't just end things with the one person that understands me the most in this world?" Nami spat out her questions and waited for Joshua to answer for just a millisecond.

The second he opened his mouth to speak, Nami was interrupting.

"But I'm trying to not put my feelings first this time and I'm trying to be less selfish. And I'm letting you go. But don't you dare say that this is easy for me because it really is not."
