Avery sipped her coffee and looked at the arriving flights board and let out a sigh at Nami's arrival time again.

Nami's plane had arrived about ten minutes ago and all Avery had to do was wait a few more minutes but she was getting impatient.

It might have to do with the fact that this morning Avery woke up flustered from a dream. In this dream, Ian had kissed her. Well, she had kissed Ian but Avery wanted to put the blame on him.

It wasn't a simple kiss either. It was hot and steamy and clothes had started to come off before her alarm woke her up.

She was uncomfortable to think of Ian that way but a small part of her couldn't help but wonder if that's what a kiss with him would be like in real life.

"Avery for fucks sake, stop thinking about your boss," Avery muttered to herself before taking a long sip of her ice coffee.

She definitely should not have gotten that double shot of expresso. She's already on edge.

Avery looked out the window at Nami's plane and stared at the door and her eyes widened with excitement when she saw the first person step out. Avery stood up from her seat and went to wait by the entrance for her friend.

Th second that Nami's eyes landed on Avery, she took off running towards Avery at full speed.

"Hi!" Avery screamed with a laugh when Nami collided with her.

"I missed you so much!" Nami pulled away and Avery nodded in agreement.

"I want you to know that that was the most dramatic moment of my life and it made me feel really loved." Avery smiled and Nami nodded.

"Well, you're about to feel even more loved. I brought presents!" Nami's grinned before grabbing Avery's hand and they walked towards baggage claim together.

"So, catch me up in what I missed while I was gone." Nami said when Avery was driving the two of them home.

"Uh, you were gone for four days, not much happened." Avery shrugged before turning her signal on to take a right turn.

"Lies, you are Avery Campbell. I can't leave you for five minutes without some crazy shit happening in your life."

"Fuck you," Avery laughed and Nami grinned.

"So?"

"So, I broke up with Dave," Avery purses her lips and Nami gasped.

"Why?" She whined.

"Good question," Avery nodded. "I don't know why and I don't really wanna talk about it."

"Fine," Nami nodded, knowing that pushing Avery to talk is never a good idea. "What else happened?"

Avery thought about the last few days without Nami and thought about how lonely she was throughout that time. Nothing too eventful happened. Aside from her weird dream last night but she decided to keep that to herself.

"Wait, you're gonna like this one," Avery glanced at Nami before focusing back on the road. "Annabelle, tried to set me up with Ian because she wants a mom."

"Oh, shit," Nami said and Avery looked at her and nodded.

"My thoughts exactly,"

"What did you say?" Nami asked and Avery shook her head.
