Avery looked around the empty studio one more time before looking at the real estate agent with a small smile.

"This is a nice place Gemma," she nodded and  the woman smiles.

"Yes, But is it what you want?" Gemma asked and Avery let out a sigh.

"I've heard your goals and they are beautiful. The way you want your place to be the safe space of foster kids in the area's is amazing."

"I do," Avery nodded before looking at the brick walls. "I guess these brick walls aren't really screaming 'home' to me."

"I understand," Gemma nodded and Avery smiled softly again.

"I'm sorry for the trouble." She apologized and Gemma shook her head no.

"No trouble at all," she said. "Let me look around some more and I'll call you when I've found some spots. Say, this weekend?"

"That sounds good," Avery nodded.

They chatted for a few moments before Avery said a quick goodbye and left.

This is the third potential place Avery had looked at for an art studio. And all three have been disappointing to her. None of them had met the standard for what she had in mind. But she wasn't losing hope. Gemma Lewis was a great real estate agent and Avery knew that she would find her a place.

Avery got into her Lyft and texted Nami that the place she visited was a bust.

Avery's next big plan was to get a car of her own. She's had the money for a while now but she's never felt inclined to get her own vehicle until now. Avery's work schedule is a little bit all over the place compared to Nami who works everyday on a fixed schedule.

Besides, Avery is an adult, and she needs her own car. And paying these Lyft charges everyday are not too pretty on her bank account.

Avery was humming a song as she cooked dinner when Nami walked in from work.

"Hi," Avery greeted and Nami took off her heels and made her way to the kitchen.

"If you ever see me wear heels to work again, please rip them off my feet before I leave the apartment." Nami complained before grabbing the pitcher of water and a glass.

"Noted," Avery muttered.

"What's for dinner?"

"Spaghetti,"

"Lame," Nami muttered before drinks her water.

"You wanna cook?" Avery asked and Nami smirked.

"Why don't we go to the Pina Vista instead?" Nami asked and Avery rolled her eyes.

"Not this again,"

"Avery, you can't just drop a bomb like, 'I think Ian Clark has feelings for me' and expect me to not ask questions."

"Yes I can," Avery sighed before tasting her marinara sauce.

"What brought you to that conclusion?" Nami asked.

"Nothing, just that I'm an adult and I don't answer to you,"

"Not that!"

Avery knew what Nami was talking about.

"Nami, let it go." Avery sighed and Nami stared at her.
