Nami and Sarah were both crying on the couch in front of the television. Not a single tear but rather tissues in hands and loud sniffles escaping them both.

"What's wrong?" Avery asked and she stepped closer.

Nami presses pause on whatever movie they were watching before looking at her best friend.

"This movie is so good!" She exclaimed and Avery let out a sigh of relief. She thought something bad had happened.

"What movie?" Avery stepped closer.

"The Kissing Booth," Sarah explained and Avery rolled her eyes before turning on her heels.

"Even from the name I already know that's not something I would enjoy,"

Avery enjoys a good movie. Mostly if it's in the mysteries genre. Sure, she enjoys the occasional chick flick but she has to be in a certain mood for them and right now she was not in one of those moods.

"Wait," Sarah stopped her. "You don't know how good it is."

"I guess I'll stay ignorant," Avery shrugged before walking off.

She walked upstairs to her bedroom and located one of her bathing suits and decided that an evening swim sounds like a good idea.

She was walking back to the living room when Nami stopped her in her track.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"The ocean, that's right outside that door."

"But it's movie night," Nami pouted and Avery rolled her eyes.

"We're literally on the beach, and instead of enjoying it, you and Sarah are doing something we could've done back at home."

"Okay drama Queen," Nami rolled her eyes and Avery scoffed. "We were going to go to town later and hit a few local bars."

"Oh," Avery frowned. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"You've been sleeping for the last two hours,"

"Right," Avery nodded. Maybe she was being a little dramatic.

"Sorry,"

"You are forgiven, if you come watch a movie with us." She smiled and Avery rolled her eyes.

"What movie?"

"Thor; Ragnarok."

"Oh, Chris Hemsworth," Avery sighed before following Nami to the tv room.

The movie was twenty minutes from being over when Avery got a text from Ian. Frowning, she pulled out her phone before a smile took over her face.

Ian had texted her begging if he could call her for Annabelle's sake. The four-year-old refused to go to bed before she spoke to Avery about her recent plane ride. Avery had peaked an interest and despite her father explains his own experience on a plane, Annabelle wanted to hear it from Avery.

"Who are you texting?" Nami asked and Avery looked up from her phone.

"Ian," she replied and Nami frowned.

"Why?" She asked.

"Who's Ian?" Sarah interrupts.

"Our sexy boss that wants to bang Avery,"

"You're ridiculous and unprofessional," Avery scolded and before Nami could reply, Avery's phone started ringing.

"Excuse me," she stood up and excused herself to her room.
