Chapter 11: 'I'm Not Interrupting That'

Start from the beginning

It was late when we all went to bed. I yawned and I walked into my room and picked out some pyjamas. I went with just a white vest top and some pink pyjama pants with cupcakes on.

I laid in bed and studied for an upcoming business test and then fell asleep scrolling through Instagram.

Patrick's POV

"Alright lads. Game time. Get kitted up and get your warm up done on the pitch."

I got changed into my kit quickly before anyone could see my bruises and cut. I told the lads I got drunk and fell over, and cut my lip and cheek. They didn't think much of it and laughed along with me.

Lying to everyone around me was natural. It's how it's always been. I wish I didn't have to, but I do and I always will. It's like it's my second nature. I was so used to it.

Maddison's POV

Rey pulled her Chelsea hat on her head and beamed at me. She had a little chelsea top with Bamford on the back for Patrick and it was the cutest thing in the world.

Brooklyn was sat in his usual seat when we got to the football ground. We flirted every now and then but I mostly focused on the match. Well, Patrick.

Wait.

Patrick?

I raised my eyebrows as I watched him running around like usual. Every now and then he would need a minute to catch his breath and he kept holding his stomach.

He was clearly in pain. Why was he playing? Why would his manager let him play?

I watched him, still confused as to why he was even playing. He was clearly still hurt.

He didn't score. He didn't do much all together. No one seemed to be angry or annoyed at him. I suppose they just loved him so much. The support the fans had for this team and the players was phenomenal.

Brooklyn said he wants to take me to a cute restaurant in Chelsea and then maybe watch a movie.

I agreed and we went our separate ways after the match finished. Rey and I made it home quickly and I had plenty of time to get ready before my shift started. Aunt Jessie decided she wasn't going to go today and she was going to have a night in with Rey and bake.

Thank god Alice wasn't at work tonight. She called in sick or something apparently. Which was strange, I didn't know Satan could get sick?

The whole team came in at their normal time. Which was expected. I was about to go and ask Chanel if she could take the drinks over to them whilst I went to the bathroom but she was talking to Lewis.

I'm not interrupting that.

I walked over to their table with their drinks and started putting them down. Patrick looked up from his phone and met my eyes as I gave him his drink.

"Thank you, Madison." He spoke deeply and winked.

I smiled and turned around to walk away. I saw Lewis walking back to his table with a smile on his face.

I walked to the bathroom before I was tackled.

Chanel jumped on me and dragged me into the staff bathroom. She checked every stall and the turned to me, beaming.

Well.

"Chanel."

"Yes."

"The fuck are you doing?"

She rolled her eyes yet the smile remained on her face. Even brighter than before.

"I need you to do something for me. If you love me."

"What is it?"

"Okay so Lewis asked me out tomo-"

"Oh my god! That's amazing!"

"I fucking know it is now let me finish. He asked me out to go to this club he likes. He was supposed to go with his friend Jack and this girl or something but they bailed."

"Okay? What do you want me to do?" I asked, completely confused.

"I need you to come with us, duh."

"What, why?"

"Because he booked for 4 people."

"That makes no difference."

"I know Madison you cow but it's my first time going out with him and I'm fucking scared so you better get your arse out with us an-!"

"Jesus Christ okay. Can you stop shouting? Look I was supposed to go out with Brooklyn so I guess I could ask him if he's up for clubbing instead."

"I love you oh my god I love you thank you!"

"Yeah yeah." I chuckled, shaking my head.

She then started to question me about Brooklyn and how I feel about him and I honestly didn't know. I liked him and he seemed really fun but I'm also finding it hard to keep Patrick out of my head even though when I try my hardest.

"Can I go to the toilet now? I'm about to piss myself." I'd realised me and Chanel had been talking for a while and I was about to burst. I need to stop drinking coke from the soda dispenser.

I came out of the bathroom and saw that Patrick had gone. Chanel noticed that I noticed straight away and walked over to me, tugging my arm.

"Lewis said he just left."

She shrugged and walked away.

I was kind of annoyed he was gone, I wanted to ask him about his stomach and why he was playing today.

I got back to my shift, obviously thinking about how I'd rather be at home in bed.

Me and Chanel both finished our shift and walked faster than senior citizens when they find out they won in bingo.

Everyone was asleep when I got home so I tip-toed to bed and watched some gossip girl before I went to sleep.

I still had to text Brooklyn and ask if it was okay if we went clubbing instead. I've never even gone clubbing. You can't drink in America until your 21 and I was never the type of girl to use a fake ID.

I hate Chanel.
