- BASIC LAWS OF SHIFTING -
- A shifter can only ever shift into one animal, even when their parents shift into different animal forms. For example, the child of a wolf and a lion shifter would shift either into a wolf or a lion.
- A shifter cannot shift into an animal with proportions that hugely vary from a human's. That's why there are no elephant or mouse shifters.
- Shifters cannot turn into birds, reptiles or aquatic animals.
- The shifter's human and animal forms share physical traits, especially eye and hair/fur coloration. An exception are kitsune (more on that in Shifters. Intro.).
- A shifter would almost always share behavioral traits with the animal they shift into, especially in animal form.
- A shifter's perception and senses change when they switch from human to animal form.
