What if Tsubaki does get an Eve, but it's at the near-end of a battle, and the guy is literally dying? Like, the instant he makes the contract and gives Tsubaki a name, his heart stops after coughing up blood, staining the remaining white of the fox's haori? I don't know if Tsubaki would be happy about it, but one thing I know is he would live by the new name he was given and would be more than fulfilled to finally have had something to call his own.
