"Did you enjoy the food?"Shadow asked,not looking at Sonic but focusing on the road
"Yeah. Thanks"Sonic smiled
"My pleasure"said Shadow
Shadow wasn't aware of the uncomfortable silence since he's been focused on the road. On the other hand,Sonic felt awkward. He turned on his phone to wash away the awkwardness he's feeling. Maybe... it's just him,right?
"So Sonic,where was your school when you still didn't transfer?"He asked
"Welp,I uhh...forgot the name,"Sonic lied
He didn't want to tell him the school's name for some reason. Then he immediately felt stupid. Would Shadow believe that?
"We planned,that I'll be continuing my education there,But we moved on into a different house anyway"Half of it was true,he didn't tell the main reason of why he didn't continued his education there
"Oh"Shadow said,nodding his head
Sonic sighed in relief. He wasn't ready to tell his life story
"How...."Shadow hesitated to continue
Sonic hummed for him to continue. But Shadow was mentally debating whether to continue,or not. Shadow noticed the azure hedgehog was hesitant to his words lately. And noticed,Sonic was only telling half true on his story. It's unknown to Sonic,that the ebony hedgehog already noticed it
"Nevermind"Shadow sighed
"Wait,come on,what will you ask?"Sonic said
Shadow furrowed his brows,then shook his head. He knew Sonic won't take 'no' for answer. Especially that now he's so curious about it. Great, Shadow,just great. When he look at Sonic,he felt his face heat up. Sonic was looking at him in the eyes, slightly pouting,asking for him to continue
"Oh how cute"Shadow mentally said
"How were you back then?"Shadow finally asked
"Oh...I was,fine"Sonic smiled
"It was good there. There are only some... complications that's why we moved"Sonic said
"I see"Shadow mumbled to himself
"Sonic?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you...doing fine with me?"Shadow suddenly asked
The azure hedgehog's eyes widened,and Shadow noticed this. What was he asking?Why did he suddenly ask this questions?
Sonic smiled
"Of course, Shadow. I feel comfortable around you,and happy around you"Sonic said
Shadow smiled
"We're here"Shadow said,parking his car
Sonic looked at his house
"Alright, thanks"Sonic said
Before Sonic could turn around,Shadow grabbed his wrist. Sonic looked back
"See you later"Shadow whispered
"Yeah,you too"Sonic said

Shadow's POV
I sweat. Was my questions inappropriate?Was my questions the questions I shouldn't ask?Was those questions something he don't want to hear?
Did I messed up?
What if... he'll avoid me?
I shook my head
I need to apologize on him. That was, unlikely of me to acquire someone. Especially Sonic. Maybe, I just want to know the hedgehog..
