Sonic was staring at himself at the mirror

"Maybe...no they won't"Sonic said trying to let himself be calm

He was thinking of what Jet discussed with Shadow earlier.He wasn't worried about himself,he was worried if Jet will do something to Knuckles.Maybe not Knuckles,but the other two of his friends

"Forget about that.He won't do it Sonic.You already discussed this with the principal?So why worry? There's nothing to worry about.They'll be fine"Sonic told himself

Repeating it many times in his head.But still,his emotions inside are similar to what his face are showing.He washed his face and give his last look on the mirror before leaving

"That took you long"Knuckles said

Sonic just grinned before getting into the crowd of people.Sonic gaze into the students talking to Scourge and Shadow

"They all seem to be invited there.All seem to be excited.As what Knuckles said, they're highly popular"Sonic thought himself

"Hey"A voice interrupted Sonic's thoughts

He look up to see Shadow.That's when Sonic started to sweat.He didn't know how to interact with this person.Especially when he found out he was Jet's friend,that Jet who beat Knuckles yesterday

"U-uh"Sonic said his emerald eyes unable to make eye contact with Shadow's ruby ones

"I think you already know about the party were preparing for.Right?"Shadow said watching the azure hedgehog fidget his fingers

Amuse about how nervous he was

"Very well then.I'll just message you about our address.See you there at 7 pm"Shadow said leaving a devilish grin

"Good.I was starting to think you have a fever"Knuckles answered his voice still laced with concern

"Shadow invited me to the party"Sonic stated

"What?!"Knuckles yelled

"Y-yeah.Did he invited you too?"Sonic asked

"No.And if he did, we're not going.You too Sonic, don't.It's not like we don't want you to go there just because we weren't told to be there,"Amy started

"Yo don't know what can happen.Especially when it's them"Any continued

Knuckles nodded in agreement

"We can't trust those guys.By what Knuckles and Amy are saying,it seems like they're not good"Tails said

Students began to leave.Most conversations Sonic heard is about the party.Sonic already agreed that he won't go

But for him,it was strange the fact that Shadow's grin gave him some kind of weird affection

Sonic hopped into the school bus.He sat next to Tails

"Aww man.I didn't had a chance to get into the Library"Sonic frowned causing Tails to chuckle

"I bought a new book that I'm sure you'll be interested in"Tails said

Already interested on what that book was

Tails grab his back pack and show him the book.It was a science topic.About the species of the dinosours.Sonic quickly grabbed it studying it's cover.Too excited to open it's contents

"Thanks Tails"Sonic said

His eyes still glued on the book he was holding

"Wait.Do you have some book to read?"Sonic asked

"Yep.I forgot that I have a new one too.So I think that I can read the first one and let you borrow that"Tails smiled

"Besides,I knew that another thing you're interested in is about the dinosours.Right?"

"Yeah"

The bus stopped.Tails and Sonic pick up their bags before walking out of the school bus.Sonic and Tails waved at each other before going on their seperate ways
