writing marathon is an exercise where you are given different pictures or you go to different sceneries for only a limited time, typically 5-10 minutes, and write from the inspiration given from these views.

pricking like a needle,
all different in size and colors.
they don't look like poison
but some sure are venomous.
as brightly as they may seem,
they can cause darkness upon you.
all with just a prick,
a prick as thin as a needle.

the snow outside is harsh and cold,
i much prefer the warmth of your embrace.
the bells go along your humming,
a melody riding right to my heart.
the christmas lights shine so bright,
your eyes sparkle more when you smile.
the gifts all pile up in a mountain,
however to me you are the greatest gift
i have yet to receive.

paper boy, oh paper boy,
where have my newly news gone?
you don't ride your bicycle like you used to before.
flower boy, oh flower boy,
where have my flowery flowers gone?
you don't walk your gardening boots like you used to before.
milk boy, oh milk boy,
where have my milky milk bottles gone?
you don't drop the milk box like you used to before.
scout girl, oh scout girl,
run along with your baked goodie goods,
i'm only here for the little service boys.
