Chapter 1

ALEXANDRA HENRIETTE

I woke up early today, did my routine, and left for school without taking a second glance at what I was wearing. Well, the only thing that is new for me is the school I'd be attending and nothing else, hopefully.

As I walked down the campus hallway, oblivious to the other students passing by, I realized that I accidentally bumped into someone.

I was about to say sorry nang bigla na lang akong bulyawan ng nakabangga ko.

"ANO BA?! HINDI KA BA MARUNONG TUMINGIN SA DINARAANAN MO?! DON'T YOU KNOW NA GALING PA NG STATES 'TO?!"

I want to roll my eyes at her. Like, seriously? Nakalunok ba siya ng megaphone? Wagas makabulyaw ate ha, and obvious naman siguro na hindi ko alam kung saang lupalop man nanggaling 'yang damit niya. Hindi nga kami magkakilala eh.

"Eh sis, it looks like she doesn't know how to act in front of you." Sabi nung kasama niya na isa ring wagas, wagas maka-up and down ng tingin. Kinaganda mo 'yan?

"And what makes you say that?" Sabi naman nitong babaeng nakalunok ng megaphone with matching taas ng kilay. Tusukin ko kaya mata nito.

"Because she looks new here in our school, I can't remember her in anyways I can think of." Sagot ng kasama nito. So kilala nila lahat ng estudyante dito? Amazing! Note the sarcasm please.

Lumapit naman sa akin yung nabangga ko at, "don't you know me?" Tanong nito sa akin.

"No, do I need to?" Tanong ko naman pabalik sa kanya. Hindi rin nakatakas sa paningin ko ang pagguhit ng inis sa mga mata niya kaya napangiti ako ng palihim.

"HUH! You have the guts to act up and show me that kind of attitude!" It's not like I intended to bump unto her, geez. She didn't even give me the chance to apologize.

"Why? Is there something wrong with my attitude towards you? Are you some kind of queen here and shows that bitchy attitude of yours to everyone?" I know that I'm supposed to be a weak nerd but I can't just let this girl do whatever she wants, especially if I know that what she's doing is wrong.

Now, I can clearly see and feel the anger through her eyes.

Am I being too much? But what can I do? Just because I look and acts as a weak nerd ay hahayaan kong kawawain nila ako?

Before this girl could utter a reply and possibly lose her temper, the bell rang which indicates that classes would be starting. Patay! Ayaw ko pa namang ma-late, first day na first day ko eh!

Akmang lalagpasan ko na sila nang magsalita pa ulit siya.

"Be ready Miss Nerdy-new-student." Mataray na sabi niya sa akin at mahihimigan ang pagkainis nito. As if I care. Kung hindi lang talaga...

Nevermind.

Nakarating at kasalukuyan na akong nasa harap ng magiging room ko and I slowly knocked on the door. Alangan namang sa bintana ka kumatok, Alexa.

Nasa loob na kasi yung instructor, magalang pa rin naman ako lalo na sa mga taong kagalang-galang.

"Come in."

Dahan-dahan kong binuksan yung pinto at saka tuluyang pumasok sa room.

"Good morning, Sir." Magalang na bati ko sa kanya.

"Good morning. Kindly introduce yourself. By the way, I'm Benjamin Manuel, your instructor for Economic Development."

Humarap ako sa mga magiging classmate ko, "hi, my name is Alexandra Buenos."
