Reena's POV

Departure.

"Can I not go?" huling sabi ko sa nanay ko.

"Don't say one more word." –mommy. Sungit ah?

We're just waiting to board. We've checked in our luggages.

Mark is here with us, he volunteered to take  us to the airport. Sinabihan nga akong wag akong umalis niyan eh kaya lang like me, wala rin lang siyang magagawa.

This is the final boarding call for passengers booked on flight 372A to Icheon. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately. The final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes time. I repeat. This is the final boarding call for passengers on flight 372A to Incheon. Thank you.

That is it. That's our flight. We have to dropdown Incheon dahil walang direct flight sa Pilipinas.

"We have to go." Paalam ko kay Mark.

"Yeah, I believe so. I'll see you there, yeah?" sabi niya ng nakangiti.

"Of course. I hope you'll come. You have my invitation." I say and we both laughed.

"Ree, come on. Time to go." –Kuya

"Get out of here." –Mark

And he hugs me tight.

"Take care, alright?" sabi niya sa akin habang yakap ako.

I pulled away, "you too. Okay? Don't do anything stupid."

"I'll try," he smiles.

"I mean it. Bye..." I smile at him and walked away. One last wave at him and I'm off the gate with my family.

Philippines.

"Whoa. It's good to be back!" –Kuya.

"Not really..." sabi ko ng mahina para di na nila marinig. Sungitan pa ako ng nanay ko.

"Babe, aren't we going to stay at the condo?" tanong ni ate Nadine kay Kuya James.

"I think not. Lumalaki na si Niel. I don't think it's a good idea to live in the condo with a kid. He should grow up in a family house. If that would be okay to you?" tanong ni Kuya kay Ate.

Ngumiti si Ate, "of course. That's a good idea actually. Mas mabuti sigurong ibenta na rin natin yun."

Ibenta? Malay mo gustuhin ulit nilang tumira doon?

"Why don't you give it to Reena?" sabi ni mommy at napakunot naman ako ng noo.

"What?" –Me.

"I thought you'd want to live alone. It's fine with me as long nandito ka sa Pilipinas."

My mood lit up at napangiti ako sa kanya.

"You serious, ma?" I ask in astonishment.

"Kung ayaw mo-" pinutol ko yung sasabihin niya.

"No no no! that would be great! Thank you ma!" lumapit ako sa kanya at niyakap siya.

Kumalas naman siya, "You're welcome. Hindi ka na nagtatampo sa akin?"

I shake my head in response habang nakangiti lang.

"Here." Abot sa akin ni Kuya ng susi.

Nakangiti ko yung kinuha sa kanya.

"Thanks! Can I go now?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"You should eat dinner first, Reena." Sabi ni Ate Nadine sa akin.
