Reena's POV
"Sama ka ah? Wag ka ma l late." Carlo said. He called me asking me to go with them tomorrow sa out of town trip na plinano nila.
"I'm not sure.." sagot ko.
"May gagawin ka ba? As far as I know, wala ka pa namang trabaho unless aalis ka na bukas for New York?"
I might as well book my flight tomorrow then. I say in my mind,
"Wala naman. Next week pa flight ko. Pero kasi baka kailanganin ako dito nila kuya eh." Yeah, lame excuse. Ipagpatuloy mo yan, Reena.
"Baka naman ayaw mo lang sumama dahil kay Kevin?" he suddenly asked me. I can't deny the fact that my heart still flutters whenever I hear his name.
"Of course not." Sige, deny mo pa.
"Then don't give me anymore excuses. You're coming with us. And besides, wala namang angal si Kevin eh."
"Yeah? Why is it then that it's you who's calling me to come and not him? Simply because he doesn't want me in that trip with you guys." Para naman kasing may chance pang siya ang tumawag sa'kin. I'm just so stupid. Waiting for something that isn't going to happen.
"So dahil nga sa kanya kaya ka hindi sasama?"
" Look, you guys just enjoy yourselves. I'll be okay. I'll see you when you get back. Ingat kayo." and with that, I hang up.
Alam ko naman kasing mas mahihirapan lang kaming pareho ni Kev kapag sumama pa ako dun. When will I see him again? Makikita ko pa ba siya before I leave for the States? It took everything in me not to call Carlo back and tell him that I really wanna go with them.
I miss Kevin so much. What scares me the most is the possibility that I may never see him again if I leave. Can I have this chance to be with them at least? Dahil doon makikita ko si Kev kahit na hindi niya ako kausapin o pansinin. I just want to have this one last chance to be with him even though I know that he'll just treat me like a wind when he can see me face to face.
Kevin's POV
I'm on my way to Bry's house dahil sabi nila nandon pa sila. I'm already 45 minutes late pero baka na late din yung iba sa kanila. I called them and they told me to just go there at sabay sabay na kaming aalis.
I drove fast and got here a few minutes later. Kumatok ako tsaka binuksan ni manang yung pinto.
"Sila Bry?" tanong ko dahil wala naman ng tao dito, wala ng maingay.
"Ah sir, kanina pa ho sila nakaalis. Mga 30 minutes na ho." sagot sa'kin ni manang.
"Tss, eh ba't pa ako pinapunta dito." reklamo ko. I got my phone out of my back pocket at tinawagan si Bry.
He answered on the third ring, "Sa'n kayo?" tanong ko.
"On the way, bro." sagot niya at naririnig ko yung ingay at tawanan nila.
"What the fck? Eh bat niyo pa ako pinapunta dito?" I rudely ask him. I have the fucking right to be.
"May isa pa kasing late. Nandiyan na ata siya eh. Isabay mo na lang siya. Ingat pre." sabi niya saka niya ako binabaan.
"Mga ulupong." sabi ko nung saktong may sobrang pamilyar na babaeng lumabas lang naman ng CR.
Napatingin na lang ako sa ibang direksyon at napamura, "tangina." saka huminga ng malalim.
I haven't seen her in days. Na cu culture shock ba ako dahil matagal kaming hindi nagkita? Fck. I had the impression na hindi na siya sasama. But damn if it didn't feel so fcking good when I saw her. She still looks beautiful then ever. She's just wearing a simple tops, shorts, sneakers and cap and she still manages to look that beautiful as fuck.
