"So, this is your mansion," Bryan remarked as we arrived at our home.

I continued to walk without saying a word, and he followed behind me. All of our helpers we encountered seemed to pause, as if not accustomed to seeing me with a guest here. I don't know what's really gotten with this guy to come with me, as I wasn't even sure how close we were.

"You can sit there. I'll head to my room to change," I informed him, gesturing towards the sofa in the living room.

"Sure. I'll wait for you here," he replied as he took a seat on the couch.

I went straight into my room after getting up and changed into a simple white V-neck shirt and blue jogging pants. I tied my hair back for added comfort.

How did Bryan end up here in our house? It was all because of his persistence. He can be quite insistent. He invited me to go out, and since I declined, he ended up driving me home. Not only that, but he insisted on staying here.

Kalil:

   Hey. Nakauwi ka na ba?

Kalil:

Have you eaten your lunch already?

As I made my way downstairs, I was reading the messages I received from Kalil. It then struck me that he is with Wenwen right now. I wonder what they were doing right now, maybe having a meal together. Well, I don't mind if they are together. I was probably just surprised to find out that they were getting close. Kalil hadn't mentioned anything to me, and Wenwen hadn't brought up the topic either.

"Ayos naman po ang ugali niya. Masungit lang po talaga minsan at hindi namamansin."

My brows furrowed as I noticed Bryan and Manang Dolor engaged in conversation. Given what Bryan had said earlier, it was likely they were discussing me. Ah, this idiot...

"Ganoon talaga, hijo, pero mabait naman iyang si Yshi. Buti nga at naidala ka niya rito. Sa pagkakaalala ko ay si Kalil pa lang at si Claust ang lalaking dinala niya rito," ani Manang Dolor sa kanya.

I raised one eyebrow. What's the big deal if it was just Kalil and Claust so far? I didn't see any issue with that. Now that Manang Dolor mentioned Claust's name in their talk, I wonder what he was up to. I suddenly missed him and so I smirked. Oh, well, well, well.

"Ah, si Kalil po," Bryan chuckled. "They're really that close, so I think it's no wonder at all. It's to be expected with both of them."

"Oo nga naman, hijo. Iyon nga lang ay hindi ko na nakikita madalas ang binata na iyon."

"They're seeing each other po everyday at school. They're talking naman po," ani Bryan na marahang tinanguan ni Manang Dolor. "Uh, who is Claust po by the way?"

Claust holds a special place in my heart, a constant presence in my life since we were kids. He has always been the one to protect me, to provide solace in times of need, and to stand as my unwavering best friend. His support and companionship have shaped our bond into something truly remarkable, a friendship that has endured the test of time and remains an integral part of my life.

"Is lunch ready?" I interjected, drawing their attention toward me.

"Sandali na lang, hija. Malapit na silang matapos," sagot naman sa akin ni Manang Dolor.

She also excused herself, heading to the dining room to check on the other helpers. I went downstairs and approached Bryan, who was looking at me, waiting for me to come closer.
