Thomas watched as you walked by, being the only woman on the ship. You were a little upset in the fact that you'd been at sea for almost ten months now.
You didn't have have any friends on the ship and it was really hard. Although you were committed to your work, you didn't have passion for it anymore.
As you tied the knot on the boat, tying it tightly in anger as the rain pelted down. As you pulled the rope, it slipped from your hard, slicing your skin as crimson blood trickled down your hard. You gasped in pain.
"Are you alright?" You saw Thomas approach you. You looked up at him and he looked down at your hand. He took off his hat and began dabbing the wound on your hand as the blood disappeared. You gave him a weak smile as he looked back up at you, his smile reassuring you it was going to be ok.
