"Thank you," Dad said to the realtor as we stood by the car.

"It looked a lot bigger online," Remington sighed.

"My grandfather's tool shed was bigger than that," I scoffed, scratching off the address from the list. "And the balcony, I swear the one in Spiderman looked more stable than that thing,
even after getting blown up by Green Goblin."

After my college orientation in the morning, which went by rather quickly, we decided to check out some apartments and studios since I scheduled a few open houses.

Dad, Remington, and Emerson were with me the whole day.

Emerson was bored, hence why he joined us.

So far, we haven't really lucked out, and its already getting late.

"Alright, how many more places we got?" Dad asked as he walked up to us.

"A condo in Pasadena... A loft in Beverly Hills, another in Orange County...." I sighed.

"Ugh, if only this were easier," Emerson groaned. "I'm already tired."

"You've mostly been sitting around or finding old art in the trash as we go," Remington said, pointing at the life sized Winged Victory replica statue in the backseat tied down with a seat belt, since we ran out of room in the trunk.

Makes me thankful that Remington got us to borrow his friend's convertible.

"Mark my words, that is going to be a good stage prop once I'm done with it, and fit well in my gallery afterwards," he sassed proudly.

Remington scoffed and rolled his eyes as I chuckled and pulled two drink bottles from my bag, one was TruMoo and the other a bottle of Starbucks frappuchino drinks.

"Be glad we made that stop at the campus bookstore before leaving," I said, handing them the drinks before reaching for the bottle of Coke for my dad.

"If you don't end up being my sister-in-law one day, I'm going to be very disappointed," he said casually with a pleased smile as he took the bottle and took a sip.

Remington spat his juice out, making me jump.

"Whoa, slow down there, bro," Remington coughed. "I love Lexi, a lot, but engagement and marriage is even faster than moving into our own place."

"Well, you don't exactly have to get married right afterwards. People go years before finally saying their I Do's," Dad shrugged as I gave him the bottle.

"No no, Remington is right, Dad. We pretty much sped things up with the decision to move in together already. Getting engage will just be too fast, on top of that it'll be overwhelming for the both of us," I said.
