*Alexandra*

"You can't be serious," I told him as we video chatted.

"They really think it'll help her," He said.

"And who, pray tell, said I wanted to help her?" I snapped. "I bet you she hasn't even wrote a single one of those songs."

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Time passed since Thanksgiving and it was soon gonna be Christmas, along with my father's birthday.

However, something came up, that being Juliet's new EP being released, and her apparently needing a release party for it.

I was chatting on the webcam with my dad when he bought up that he wanted me there.

Last I heard, release parties are mostly for full albums.

"Please, Alexa, I wouldn't be asking this from you if it wasn't important," he said.

"See, that's the thing," I said. "It isn't important. Its only ego fuel for my stepmother."

He sighed.

"Dad, seriously, I know you love her and you're married to her and everything, Lord only kmows why, but you seriously can't think she's as good as she believes she is," I said.

"Look, I'm only asking this as a favor, Alexa. Please," he begged

I groaned. "But why do I have to go? What am I even supposed to do at these things?"

"Its like business," he said. "You meet record producers, important people, be polite, speak well of her music."

"Dishonesty must be a Biersack trait, then, because it sure as hell isn't a Brighton trait," I said, crossing my arms.

"Please, Alexa... Don't be stubborn," he sighed. "Do this for me, please?"

I glared at him. "Let's say I agree, what's in it for me?"

"College money?" He asked.

"I'm on financial aid, recently updated," I said.

"Umm...." he thought about it.

Thank God I was born a female or I would be a goner thanks to him.

"Fine, I'll go to this stupid release party, but you owe me REALLY big for this, Dad," I said.

"Thank you," he sighed. "I'll schedule the flight for this weekend, you'll be back on Monday."

"Its a holiday so it'll be okay," I agreed.

"Okay. I gotta get going, there's a meeting later for Andy Black," he said.

"Alright, see ya," I said.

"Bye," I said, and we end the call.

I shut the computer and sigh.

Suddenly my phone rang and I grab it, seeing who was requesting a FaceTime, and smiled, clicking answer.

"Heeeyy," Remington smiled.

"Hi Rem," I smiled.

"You look sleepy... And irritated," he said, tilting his head with a frown.

"School assignments, work chaos, and then there's Lady Tremaine's EP release party that I have to attend soon," I sighed as I got up from my desk and walked around my room.

"They seriously make those? I understand a small celebration, but a party big enough to be for a full album is a bit much," He said.

"Well, they are gonna have one, and I have to 'be polite and speak well of her music,' " I said, mimicking my dad.

Remington laughed out loud. "Nice Andy impression, do it again."

"Nah, he gets teased enough," I laughed. "But I will be in Los Angeles this weekend."

"Well, maybe we can meet up at some time before you head back," he shrugged.

"Honestly, anything would be better than having to lie to some random strangers that Juliet Simms is a brilliant, talented and amazing singer and stepmother," I scoffed as I rested on my bed.

He laughed. "Sounds unbearable," he said.

"Completely," I sighed. "Kinda makes me wish you were there so it would be a little bit bearable."

"Like a date?" he asked.

I then remembered Remington and I still had a date pending.

"Yes... We still have a date pending," I smiled.

"Hmmm... I may have an idea. Just trust me," He said.

I chuckled. "What are you up to?"

He smiled innocently, even if I'm sure I saw little horns peek from that spikey hair of his. "Just wait and see."

I laughed.

"Alex, can you come over here?" I heard my mom call.

"Coming!" I called back. "Gotta go. Say hi to everyone for me."

"Later, beautiful," he winked as the call ended, and I couldn't help but blush.

*Remington*

The call ended and I started to think of something.

"Hmm.... Emerson!" I called out, and see him come in, bottle of Trumoo in his hand, looking sleep.

"Yes?" he asked.

"What are our chances at sneaking into an EP album release party and leaving, unseen?" I asked.

"An EP release party?" he asked, confused.

"I know, its weird, but bear with me," I said.

"Well, it would be impressive if they noticed us even in a private event," he said.

"Excellent," I smiled, putting my fingers together. "Get Sebastian. I have a plan."

"Does it involve something somewhat illegal?" He asked curiously.

"No, but it may involve a break in," I said.

"Hmmm," he said, thinking. "Very well. My interest is peeked. I'll get Sebastian and the guys."

I nodded as I laid back, smiling at the fact that I'll get to see Alex again soon.

I can't wait.
