"Man, that buffet was pretty good," I said as me and Remington exited the restaurant area.

"It really was," he said as then my phone rang.

"Hang on, its my dad," I said, answering. "Hey Dad."

"Hey, Alex, where are you right now?" he asked.

"Just leaving the restaurant, why?" I asked.

"Okay, we're leaving in a few minutes. Best to start heading upstairs and finish packing," he said.

I frowned. "Um, I did. Just last night I have everything set in case I was running late, including Humphrey's care bag," I said.

"Really? I'm seeing some of your bags empty and clothes thrown around," he said, confused.

"What?!" I snapped.

"Look, its okay, calm down," he said. "I can have John hold off the bus for a few minutes so you can repack and we can be on the road on time."

"Ugh, no don't do that," I sighed, rubbing my temples. "I can just stuff them all in and just rush to the bus before we leave."

"Or," Remington interjected as he caught on to the situation and took my phone to talk with Andy. "She can ride in our van with us to give her more time to organize and stuff. There's enough room for one more person."

My eyes widen as he spoke with my dad.

"No problem, we'll meet up at the hotel, dude. She's safe with us," Remington said.

I waited a while before he nodded and then passed the phone back to me.

"Dad?" I asked.

"Hey, so, Remington and I agreed that to avoid any issues with John and management, you can get a ride with Palaye in their van. They leave half an hour after us, so you have enough time to repack your things without being rushed," he said. "Humphrey can stay with me so its not stuffy for him in a van, along with any of your bags already packed. Sounds okay?"

I thought about it as Remington nodded enthusiastically.

"Umm.... Sure," I said. "Just leave my duffel and laptop if its packed though. I'll take that with me."

"No problem. We'll meet at the hotel. Do you have the key card for our current room?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said. "But I swear, I packed everything yesterday."

"I know, I was there, remember? I'll look into it, see what happened," He said. "Stay safe and I'll see you at the next town for bus count."

I sighed. "Okay."

We hung up and I faced Remington. "Looks like I'm riding with you guys."

"You're most very welcome," he said proudly. "Now, let's get going, Road Buddy. I'll text my older brother to let him know what's up."

"Alright," I nodded as we headed to the elevator.

I opened the door to see everyone was just about to step out and getting their luggage out.

"Hey, there you are," Alice smiled. "Hi Remington."

"Hey, Alice," He smiled as we walked in and I then felt Alice slip something in my hand.

I turned and saw her give me a nod with a serious look as she was grabbing her bag and helping to get stuff to the bus.

I frowned as I continued to my bedroom to see my dad with Humphrey on his lap, petting him.
