Previous chapter : There was only the whining girls and the prince that stepped away. I guess that it was just my imagination. It probably was...

Let's continue shall we ?
I was standing in line for at least fifteen minutes until it finally came to my turn. After thinking for a few seconds, I quickly ordered a sandwich and asked for the toppings I wanted after paying for my meal. As the cooking lady which no one remembered her name wrapped my delicious sandwich, I suddenly heard a feminine and angelic voice coming from behind. A familiar voice that soothed me as I lent my ear to listen to her conversation happening a table away. It was Cindy, my crush but also the prettiest girl in this school. This girl never bothered me. She was such a bright and positive person, explaining why she was very popular aside from her looks. As if her voice was enchanting me, I stared at her in awe, not able to control myself from her delicate greenish eyes that she gave to her friends. Speaking of delicate eyes, the prince's eyes popped into in my mind. Honestly, they were so beautiful and bright despite his bored look, almost making me jealous. Okay, I admit. I am jealous.

Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly came back to my senses as I felt the cooking lady gently tapping my shoulder, telling me that my sandwich was done. I quickly apologised with a smile, took it and ran away towards my classroom. My class was usually empty because the popular and pretty girls all go at the cafeteria to eat, so I thought that I could give this place a go.

After walking in the halls for a few minutes, I finally arrived and surprisingly heard some muffled voices talking from the inside. Curious as I always am, I slowly opened the door, enough for my hand to slip, and saw a group of guys around the board, some of them not even being in my class. They were writing some names which one of them was Cindy's. Wondering what she had to do with all of this, I carefully listened without making a single sound. Well, at least tried to. "Okay guys, it's time to vote." One of them stated, making me realise what they were doing. A beauty chart? Really? Weren't we too young for that kind of thing? Each one of them took their turn to place their votes on the board thanks to the chalk. As they finished, I noticed that the name with the most votes was unsurprisingly, Cindy. I wasn't surprised at all at the results but I still felt a pinch in my heart which probably was jealousy and a part of my self- esteem going away. Those guys were way cooler, stronger and prettier than me so obviously, they had more chances than me at getting a relationship with her. Not really wanting to listen to this conversation, I prepared myself to leave and go somewhere else to go eat but suddenly, I got startled by a soft voice coming from behind my back.

"Why are you crouching by the door ? It looks very weird from behind." I turned around to see his highness with a smirk, leaning against the wall behind him and staring at me as if he was here all along. The guys also heard him from inside. He crossed his arms and walked closer to my silhouette who was currently panicking. "Just go in like a normal person would do. You know, on both of your feets." He said as he lent me a hand to help me get up. He really had no idea of what was going on in there. I noticed him struggling a little as he helped me up, but I kept my mouth shut, too focused on the main situation right now. I didn't answer back, realising that the only thing I could do was to run away before the guys gets me. I tried doing so, but failed as his majesty held my hand to drag me into the classroom which I never took my eyes off. It was so soft and nice. For the first time in 2 years, someone held my hand in such a heartwarming way, almost making me cry. The door opened as we came in, revealing the already-staring-at-the-door group just standing there. We made our way to the back of the class as I heard some whispers coming from them.

"Is that really the prince Noctis ?"

"I heard that he was visiting our school today, so that was true ?"

They said, acting like gossip girls in high school. Noctis nodded to confirm their suspicions and grabbed a chair from all the chairs he could've have chosen and proceeded to order me to sit down. Yes, he ordered me. As I sat down next to him, one of the guys of the group approached us and smiled. His name was Johan and he was an immense jerk to others and me. "What brings his majesty here, in this low-tier- I mean the highest-tier of all public schools?" He stumbled unto his words. From the look on his face, I could see that he was trying to take advantage of the prince's popularity by trying to become his friend. Luckily enough, Noctis was smart and he probably noticed as well. His highness faced the window in all his glory and gave him a bored look to make his point.

"You'll see." He pulled out his phone from his vest's pocket and started playing some game which apparently wasn't clear enough as a message because Johan kept going on. "I can give you a tour around if you want Prince Noctis." He said, not noticing the sigh that Noctis let out. "No need. I already did so with someone. Thank you for proposing." He said without lifting his eyes from his phone. Instead, he shifted his chair closer to mine. For a matter of fact, when Johan tried to open his mouth once again to talk, the beautiful blue eyes prince brought his phone closer to me, seeming to reveal some sort of game he was playing, cutting the boy before he could say a single word. "This game is called Mobius Final Fantasy. Wanna play with me? I can teach you how to play." A Final Fantasy game on the phone? Why was he even asking me to play with him? I stared at him, still not understanding and finally came back to my senses after a minute. "I don't have a phone." I stated as he gave me big eyes. He probably didn't believed me. I tensed up, feeling the guys staring at me while Noctis started explaining to me how to play on his own phone. I stayed silent and listened to the comments they told to each other instead of the prince.

"The piggy was listening all along."

"He was spying on us."

"Poor prince, he had to stare at his butt."

Hurt by their comments, I looked down and surprisingly, I felt myself blushing at that last comment. I didn't think of that... Anyways, I tried focusing on the prince's explications instead of those hateful comments. I was pretty used to it, but having to go through this everyday started to feel heavy. Having enough already, I considered going away but my train of thoughts got interrupted by Noctis asking me a certain question.

Okay, that one was long and it might be the only one for a while.
