He was right. You were happy. But only because of him. You finally realized how much he meant to you. How deeply you were in love with him. You knew he liked you too, in fact one of his brothers told you. But he has never had the guts to tell you so you wanted to tease him a little. Just for fun.
"I think I'm in love", you said and smiled.
The look he gave you was hilarious. Of course you didn't want to laugh, you wanted to be as serious as possible.
"Y-You are?", he answered.
"Mhm, oh I swear he's perfect!", you gave back in a dreamy voice.
"Oh really?", he said.
From the way he spoke to the way he acted you could tell he was so uncomfortable. Maybe angry as well. But definitely sad. He didn't know what to do. HE wanted to be your crush and now you're talking about someone else.
"Can I please tell you about him? I can't talk to anyone else about such private stuff", you begged and your turtle sighed.
"Sure, anything for you."
You smiled. You kinda enjoyed this little game.
"Well, he's very handsome to start with. Gorgeous eyes, beautiful smile. Honestly, a face you could kiss all day long. And his lips. Damn, you thinking about them makes me want to make out with him. He's funny, tall, smart. I want to spend hours with him", you explained and got a little too excited.
Your turtle didn't even answer. He looked down, couldn't bare to look you in the eyes.
"That's good for you (Y/N). I'm happy for you", he finally said and smiled.
You got a little closer to him and cupped his face with your hands. It made him look up to you at last.
"Want to know what the best thing is?", you asked.
"What?", he whispered as he got lost in your eyes.
"You know the guy", you said.
"That makes it even worse", he gave back.
"No it doesn't. It's ... you", you finally confessed.
It took him a while to realize what you just said. He blinked a few times and then looked at you in shock.
"Me?", he asked.
"Yes. I'm in love with you!"
"I ... I love you too (Y/N). For the longest time", he smiled.
"That's good, right?"
"Yes", he nodded and pulled you closer to kiss you.
