Your boyfriend would be flabbergasted. I mean, you didn't even acknowledge his presence. You never did that, usually you were so excited to see him. Especially after a long day at school. It took him a few minutes to make a plan. He couldn't just storm into his room and demand what happened. He needed to be gentle and careful. He took a deep breathe and then knocked on his own door. It just felt right. The view he had was ... sad. You looked so miserable, so insecure. He'd sit down next to you and just let his presence be enough. He wouldn't force you do say or do anything. If you want to eat ice cream, then do it. If you want to talk, fine by him. He'd tell you though, that's he's always there for you no matter what. He will listen to you. He will help you with your problems and he will hold you close for as long as you need to.
