"Jimin you really didn't have to-" the short boy cuts Taehyung off with the wave of his hand, "-nonsense Taehyung! I don't mind!" He gives the red head a giant grin.

Both boys were currently inside an ice cream parlour, the very one that Taehyung had tried to apply to prior to his run in with Jimin. The taller boy could practically feel the staff's burning gaze on his back, probably mocking him with disgust at the fact he would even show his face there again after begging earlier for a job.

The only reason as to why they never threw him out was because he was with Jimin. The pink haired male was basically famous in their small town. Everyone knew everyone, which in some cases can be a hit or a miss depending on how others see you.

For Jimin, he was seen as a God. Mother's would coo over him, finding him equally cute and attractive. They would do everything they could to get the young male to notice their daughters, sometimes even their sons. Father's would look at him with proudness, seeing as the boy was intelligent and friendly. They knew he would get far in life.

The Park family were very well liked people, always giving a helping hand with the locals to the point you couldn't help but adore the family.

Taehyung sighs, he wasn't really in the mood for ice cream yet he didn't want to disappoint the boy in front of him who ever so kindly bought him the treat in the first place. Taking slow, steady spoonfuls, he ate quietly. He just wanted to eat fast then leave, he didn't enjoy thinking he's a nuisance to others.

"So why were you sitting on the side of the road looking glum and alone?" Jimin vocalises, making the younger return from his thoughts. Taehyung grew embarrassed, he didn't want to let the older know that he had been out all afternoon, searching for a job but every time, would be rejected. He clears his throat, his eyes staring out the window beside him at the happy families walking by. "I just went for a walk and got tired, that's all."

Jimin wasn't convinced and if what Taehyung was saying is true then he couldn't help but feel worried for the younger. 'He must've walked some length to have made himself so tired or he's just really unfit which isn't good either.' Judging by Taehyung's weight, Jimin wasn't happy that he would be feeling so tired after walking. 'He's so thin and puny, it makes it hard not to worry about him.'

It grew silence between the two. The red head felt awkward, unsure exactly what to say. Jimin was about to speak when they hear the ding of the door go. Taehyung couldn't help but let his eyes wander over before they grew five sizes bigger than usual. "Oh God." He whispers, making Jimin frown. "What?" He questions, not being able to hear the younger very clearly.

Jimin was about to turn in his chair when Taehyung stops him, "I-uh, I need to go!" He manages to form some line of an excuse while getting up from his seat rather hastily. He could feel sweat forming against the creases of his forehead. A sinking feeling seeps into the pit of his stomach as he makes a run for the door.

"Wait, Taehyung!" Jimin shouts but the younger had already exited out of the parlour. The pink haired boy stood confused, 'why did he leave in such a rush?'

The smaller glances around the shop, trying to spot any sign that would indicate the other's sudden departure. A couple sat at one side of the room while an older lady was sitting quietly in a corner, opposite of Jimin. The younger couldn't understand why Taehyung was so quick to leave until his coffee coloured orbs land on a certain someone.

'Namjoon?' He thought to himself, watching the black haired senior who was waiting at the counter, a small girl holding onto his hand tightly.

Jimin frowns, 'I didn't know that Namjoon had a little sister.' But then the candy floss haired boy shrugged. He didn't exactly know Namjoon all that well since he only heard rumours about him but he was fully aware of the older's reputation...lets just say he was someone you didn't want to get caught up with.

'Is Taehyung afraid of him?' He wondered, pondering over the thought of the young red head's cowering face he saw earlier.

Jimin sighs before throwing away any leftovers that were on the table. He wasn't really in the mood anymore for ice cream, he wasn't really into sweet things but decided on this place since he thought Taehyung would enjoy it and needed the cheering up.

The pink haired boy left the parlour, an emotionless expression dancing on his face while he walked back to his parked car. "Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on you Kim Taehyung." He murmurs to himself with an ever so faint smile.

Taehyung was in a state of panic. He felt his lungs give out as he continued to run for his life. He thanked God that Namjoon didn't spot him, making the get away easier.

'Breathe Taehyung, just breathe.' He kept telling himself, sucking in whatever he could so that his lungs don't give way and explode. His pace loosens into a slower speed while his head hung low, pulling at his hoodie to cover his hair.

A prominent, dejected look takes form on his face as he stares downwards, watching his beaten up white trainers scuff the pavement. He had no other choice but to head for home, he couldn't find a job no matter how many places he went into and begged.

He licks his lips, pulling in the lower one to bite on it before slowly releasing it back to its original position. He guessed he was only getting his hopes up. Taehyung knew all too well how difficult it had been for him to get jobs lately.

While pouting over his current issue, he merely just caught sight of a figure sitting on one of the swings in the kid's play park that he was presently walking through.

At first, he was a tad frightened at the lone figure. 'What if its someone who bullies me?!' His school was the only one for miles so he was sure that any young teen he meets, attends his high school.

He gulps, shuffling past the boy who continued to stare at his swaying feet. Taehyung couldn't help but stare, he knew it was rude, his grandma had taught him many times to never stare at another for too long as it was a sign of disrespect but the red head simply couldn't stop.

Taehyung was almost certain he recognised the boy and it wasn't until he moved in closer that he realised who it was.

"New kid?"
