Harry: "Dad!" Darcy called from the bathroom. Thinking something was wrong, I got up from the couch and ran to the door. "Darcy? Is everything okay?" I asked with a worried tone. "I'm bleeding!" she cried. I could hear shuffling around on the other side. "Sweetie, where are you bleeding?" I wanted to stay as calm as I could for her, but the word 'bleeding' scared me when it escaped her lips. It was silent on her side of the door so I repeated myself. "Baby, where are you bleeding?" I could hear a little more shuffling before her tiny voice spoke up again. "Down there..." she said in a small voice. Down there? What did she- oh... "Darcy, it's okay," I said, relaxing a little, knowing she wasn't in any danger. "But I'm bleeding down there dad!" she cried. Why couldn't this happen when (Y/N) was here? "I know. Sweetie, do you remember when mom talk about... your period?" Even after living with two girls for a number of years, I still found it awkward to talk about. Especially with my 12 year old daughter. "Yeah..." she replied. "Do you remember where she said her stuff was?" I continued, hoping she would remember. "Yeah, it's under the sink," she replied, her voice muffled by the thick door. "Okay, you need to grab one of those and use them okay? I know mum told you how to use them. I'll go call her okay?" She made a small noise, signalling that she heard what I said. I went back into the living room to call my wife. "Hey Haz," she answered. "Hey (Y/N), we have a little issue..."

Liam: Makayla was the youngest and only girl in the family. Her two older brothers, just like myself were always looking out for her. (Y/N) was away visiting her parents, so it was just the three boys and Makayla. One afternoon, the boys and I were in the living room watching the game when she came in looking quite ill. I turned down the volume and immediately turned my attention towards her.  "Makayla, is everything okay?" I asked, pulling her onto my lap. "It hurts daddy," she said in a small voice. I hadn't seen her this vulnerable since she was a little girl. "What hurts baby?" I wanted to help her, but I couldn't help her at all until she told me what was wrong. Her brothers were watching me, looking worried as well. She curled up tighter on my lap as I assumed the pain worsened. "Sweetheart?" I could feel the wetness on my shirt. That scared me. "It hurts... the cramps hurt dad," she whimpered. Suddenly it all came rushing back to me. When (Y/N) and I were in the dating phase, I remember her getting bad cramps every time... well, you know, every time her little monthly friend came. "Aww, sweetheart. C'mon, I know what to do." Picking her up and carrying her up to the bedroom, I set her in her bed and went to grab some pain killers, a glass of water and a hot water bottle. When I came back, she was curled up in a tight ball and a distressed look on her face. "Can you sit up hun?" I asked, rubbing her back. "I have some things that will help." Uncurling from her ball, I let her lean back on my shoulder while I handed her a couple pills and the glass of water. She managed to swallow them so I took the glass and placed the hot water bottle on her tummy. She let out a sigh and I knew I had done the right thing. "Try and get some sleep okay? I'll come and check on you in a bit." She nodded, closing her eyes and drifting off. I left the room with one thought on my mind. Thank god for sisters.

Niall: I was looking after our 12 year old daughter Jules while (Y/N) was working overtime. Of course I didn't mind, but Jules seemed to be in a sour mood this evening. It wasn't like her at all. Normally she was a happy child with high energy levels. Today was the complete opposite. She was snappy, grumpy and was hardly moving at all. I was preparing dinner for the both of us when she walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge only to slam it right after. "Jules, don't slam that please," I asked politely, only getting a grunt in return. She walked over to the cupboard and grabbing a glass, once again slamming the door. She forcefully but the glass on the counter, opening the fridge and grabbing the juice, and slamming the fridge yet again. "I put down the spoon I was using and turned to her. "Jules what did I say about slamming things!" I said, raising my voice at her. "God dad! It's the fridge!" she snapped back, filling her glass. "Jules! What's gotten into you!?" I replied loudly, hoping to catch her attention. "You wouldn't understand!" she yelled, leaving her glass and running back towards her room. I stood there, a little shocked from what had just happened. She had never talked to me like this. But, nevertheless, I followed her to her room, knocking on the door lightly. "Jules? Can I come in?" No reply. I slowly turned the doorknob, cracking the door open slightly. The first thing I hear were sniffles coming from the dark room. I opened the door even further to see a bump under my daughters covers. "Jules?" I repeated, walking in her room. "Princess, are you okay?" Suddenly she sat up, looking at me with a tear stained face. "I'm sorry for being so mean dad, I didn't mean it." "Hey, hey. I walked over to her bed, sitting next to her and pulling her into a hug. "I know what's going on. You don't have to explain. Just let me know if you need anything okay?" she nodded into me, relaxing into my grip. "Can you just stay with me for a bit please?" I nodded. "Of course baby." She settled back into her bed curling up into my side. I felt proud for handling it the way I did, I just hoped (Y/N) would be around for next month.

Zayn: (Y/N)'s father was ill so she had to go away for a couple days. Little did I know, those few days alone with our daughter would be the most eventful. I was sitting at the kitchen table, looking at my phone when Anna walked in with a very red face. Her hands were clasped behind her back and the only way I knew she entered the room was when she cleared her throat. Looking up from my phone, I smiled at her. "Hey Anna," I greeted. "Everything okay?" She looked down at her feet and that's when I knew something was up. I set down my phone and turned my chair so I was facing her. "Baby, is something wrong?" She shook her head, but it was way too automatic to be true. "You know you can tell me anything right?" Hesitantly, she nodded, taking a deep breath. "Dad? Do you know where mom keeps her, uh... stuff?" she asked, her face turning a darker red than before. I hated to ask, but I wasn't sure what she was talking about. "What stuff hun?" She sighed loudly, standing up straight. "I got my period and I don't know where any of mom's things are," Anna stated loudly and clear. It was my turn to blush. "Oh um..." I had to think for a moment. Where did (Y/N) keep her things? Oh yes. "They're in the hall closet upstairs." I coughed awkwardly as she mumbled a thank you and ran back up the stairs. I shook my head with a chuckle on my lips. I quickly sent a text to my wife. *Hope everything is well, I have quite the story to tell you xx*. My little girl was growing up.

Louis: While (Y/N) was away, our 12 year old daughter Bridgette and I were left to look after the house. We were getting short of food, so one afternoon, the two of us went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Bridgette had insisted on pushing the cart so while she walked ahead of me, I strayed a few steps behind to make sure we hadn't missed anything. We were just walking down the vegetable aisle, when something caught my eye. I looked down at Bridgette's pants, noticing a small red stain. With my eyes widening at the realization, I quickly threw off my jacket and jogged to catch up to her. I put my hand on her shoulder to stop her. "Tie this around your waist okay?" She gave me a funny look. "Why?" I looked around and began tying it for her. "I think you got your period my love." Her eyes widened and her cheeks began to turn pink. "That's so embarrassing," she whispered, looking around to make sure nobody had noticed. "We'll pick you up some things while we're here okay? I said, giving her a reassuring smile. She nodded, making sure I walked closely behind her the rest of the way. Once we got everything food-related, we walked to the feminine hygiene aisle. I proudly walked with her, helping her pick what she needed out and everything. I was used to doing this with (Y/N), what should make this so different? We finally were able to get out of the store and away from the embarrassing situation.
