Harry - You and Harry were concerned about your son Marcus. He was 17 and had always been so outgoing, happy go lucky, popular. He had never been one to come home from school everyday to sit and sulk in his room all evening, which was what had been happening recently. When he came down to eat dinner he barely uttered a word, grunting one-word answers when you and Harry asked him questions. You were both at a loss over what to do. "What should we do Harry?" you asked, "We can't just do nothing, he seems so miserable. It's breaking my heart," you pouted at your husband. "I know babe, I think the only thing we can do is ask him what's going on to be honest," Harry replied as he rubbed his chin, "we'll talk to him at dinner." You both set the table later than evening, ready to try and speak to your son about what was bothering him. You called him down for dinner and he shuffled into the dining room quietly and began eating without a single word. You and Harry both sat down making eye contact before you spoke. "Marcus honey," you said softly, "is everything okay with you? You can tell me and your dad if it's not... We're really worried about you, you've been acting so strange lately, you're not like your normal self." Marcus looked up from his plate briefly, "I'm fine mum," he said with a small obviously fake smile, "I promise." He went back to eating and Harry decided to have a go at trying to get him to speak. "Marcus, you know you can tell me and your mum anything right?" At Harry's words Marcus dropped his fork and raised his hands to cover his face and when he pulled them away you could see that he was crying. "But I can't tell you anything, that's the thing... I can't," he said as a tear slid down his cheek. You felt your heart breaking, you hated seeing your son so upset, it went against every maternal instinct you had. You shuffled your chair closer to your son and put your arms around him. "Marcus, please tell me and your dad what's wrong, we can't help if we don't know," you said, feeling like crying yourself but you held yourself together. "You'll hate me if I tell you," he said as his body began to shake as he sobbed. "Marcus we could never hate you," Harry said as he put his arm round his son, "you're our son, we love you no matter what." Marcus looked up at you both as you backed away from him slightly, wanting to give him space. "Mum... Dad... I'm gay," he said quietly as more tears slid down his cheeks, "and I know no one's going to accept me, I hate myself for it," he cried harder as you went to put your arms around him again. "Oh Marcus," you said as you hugged him tightly, "it doesn't matter to us if you're gay, you're our son and we love you, gay, straight, bisexual, whatever you are it doesn't change anything." You felt horrible that your son would hide something like this from you because he was scared you wouldn't accept him. "Marcus, your mum's right," Harry said, "we love you, we love you even more now that you have been honest with us, we'll love you no matter what." Marcus looked up at you both with tears in his eyes, "you guys are the best," he said sniffing as you both smiled at him. You and Harry sat back in your chairs as you held onto your son's hands, "don't ever be afraid to tell us things, Marcus, especially something as big as that," you said as he nodded back at you. "I love you both so much," he said as he breathed a sigh of relief.

Liam - You and Liam sat in the living room with your two sons watching TV. Your eldest son, Daniel sat talking on the phone to his girlfriend and your other son Rory was starting to get annoyed. "Daniel, if you're going to sit and talk to your girlfriend, can you go into another room, I can't hear the TV," he said angrily. "Boy's stop arguing," Liam said not taking his eyes off the TV. "No Rory, I'll stay here thanks very much," Daniel replied smiling sarcastically at his brother. "You're such a dick sometimes you know that?" Rory whispered. "Oi! Language!" Liam said a bit louder. "I'll call you back babe," Daniel said down the phone before hanging up. "You know what Rory, you're clearly just jealous that I have a girlfriend and you don't because no self-respecting girl would go within 10 feet of you," Daniel said before walking out the room but you had had enough so you called him back. "Daniel get back here now," you said angrily, "apologize to your brother," you glared at your older son. "Mum that's not fair, he started it," Daniel moaned. "Well I'm finishing it," you replied, "that was really mean and I want you to apologize." Daniel was starting to get really annoyed now, "apologize for what? The fact that he can't get a girl and I can?" he sneered. Liam was now getting involved, "Daniel that's enough, apologize now." You all turned to your younger son Rory to see that he was crying. "Dude, why are you crying? I was only joking," Daniel asked, confused. "I'm gay," he whispered as he sobbed into his hands, "and I know you're going to be so embarrassed to have a gay brother and can you imagine the tabloids, Liam Payne's son gay... I really didn't want to tell you but I couldn't hold it in any longer." He sat with his face in his hands as you shot out of your seat to comfort him. "Baby, no," you said as you stroked his hair, "we don't care if you're gay, we only want you to be happy." You cradled your son in your arms and Daniel sat down on the arm of the couch and placed his hand on his little brother's shoulder. "I would never be embarrassed to have you as a brother," he whispered, "I'm proud of you." Rory looked up at him, "do you really mean that?" he asked as his voice cracked. "Of course I do!" Daniel replied, "you're my brother and I love you." Rory smiled at his brother before turning his attention to his dad who was smiling at the three of you. "Rory, your happiness is all I have ever cared about, you being gay doesn't bother me in the slightest, and the tabloids can say what they want," he said as he got up and hugged his son.
