The next few weeks flew by in a sad mound of tears and regret.

I had called Hayes many times. Inviting him over, seeing if he wanted to go do something. But the conversation always ended in an argument. Just like two minutes ago.

Boredom had just stricken me. I had called everyone but they were all off doing something with their families.

Losers.

Deciding upon calling Hayes, I dialled his number and after two or three rings, he picked up.

"Hello?" His voice breathed into the microphone.

"Hey, wanna go do something on Saturday?" I spoke into the iPhone, hope grasping at the end of my voice.

"Oh, sorry Haana, I can't." He said, feeling more distant than ever.

"What? Why?" I questioned.

"I'm going out with Jess on Saturday ..." He dragged out his words, as though scared to say them.

"Wait, wait wait wait, so you're blowing me off, for Jessica?"

"Yes ..." He said, dragging them out further.

"Speechless bro. And yeah, I SAID BLOWING OFF." With that said I hung up, frustration overriding my system.

Disappointment had washed over me. Cradling myself in the corner, streams of tears flowed downwards on my cheeks. My whimpers echoed as they played through my mind.

The sudden ringing of my phone made me jump. I had stopped crying long ago, but my voice still threatened to break at any moment. Picking up the phone, I looked at the caller ID.

Nash.

Why would he be calling?

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone. My voice strained as I attempted to keep calm.

"He- Haana? Are you okay?" His voice was genuinely concerned. Damn you Nash.

At that point I was balling again. "No! If I was I don't think I'd be crying, Nash! I mean, unless of course I was watching the freaking titanic." I sobbed.

"I'm coming over." He breathed into the phone. "No buts." He protested before I could myself.

A few seconds had passed before the sixteen year old had burst into my room, and sat me on his lap. Tears fell from my eyes once more as Nash wrapped me in one of his bear hugs. Silence enclosing us immediately.

We hadn't moved for around thirty minutes.

. . .

"Can we get some pizza?" Nash asked suddenly, causing a large smile to spread across my face.

Looking up, I nodded. I had stopped crying a while ago, but still felt my cheeks were damp. He smiled, and patted the top of my head.

"Wait here a minute, mmkay?" He asked. I nodded once more before he jogged down the staircase.

Upon getting up, I walked towards the bathroom. Once cleaning up, I reapplied my makeup and walked downstairs as Nash called me down.

"What do you want?" He asked, a phone pressed against his ear.

"Cheese, geez." I replied with a light smile.

The rest of the night consisted of Netflix and pizza. My parents weren't coming home, and so he stayed. I knew he wouldn't try to pull anything. 1) because he was three years older than myself and 2) I would fucking kill him if he even stood too close.

My eyes drooped to a close. Nash's arm draped around my shoulders as I clung to his torso, soft snores now escaping my lips.
