The Gear

Kit was busy the whole week that he almost forgot about the gear giving ceremony if not for Beam barging in at the Pedia Department Thursday Shift.

"What don't tell me you're not going?" Beam asks while sitting infront of him. He just finished his rounds where the kids all surrounded him trying to get his attention. He's now working on an update with the report he needs to submit end of day today.

"I am not sure Ai'Beam, To tell you honestly, I forgot about it. I don't know if I can ask for a leave because I am still new and had to work my ass off." Kit replied with his back facing Beam. He did not notice that the Department Head has joined their discussion and Beam could only give him a wai.

Beam smiled when the Pedia Head just tell him to talk while he listens silently "But you promised Ai'Ming that you will join him right? Why not ask Dr.Lee?" He replied

"I don't want to abuse Dr.Lee's kindness and I really don't know. You are known by the engineering students as Ai'Forth's special someone unlike me. They might hate me." Kit replied still oblivious with his surrounding.

Beam shake his head in disbelief "They will love you if you show yourself to them and mark your man! Its time for you to step up the game. what if Dr. Lee assigned you a hecic schedule you won't get to see your Mingkwan all the time." He added

Kit turned around only to be surprised when he saw Dr. Lee beside Beam, His cheeks immediately blush when he realizes that he might have heard everything.  "Dr.Lee, do you need something?" He asks

"Based from what I've heard, it is you who needs something from me." Dr. Lee replied while smiling.

Kit glared at Beam as he shake his head nonstop "Uhh, don't mind us Dr. Lee, I am sorry for slacking off." He replied

"Chill out Dr. Kit, you are not slacking off and I think Beam here has a point time to step up your game if you don't want to lose someone you treasure so much." Dr. Lee stated

Beam smiled as he turned to face Dr. Lee "So Dr. Lee will you allow my friend who is dense as a rock to take a leave tomorrow so he can mark his territory?" He asks

Dr. Lee nods his head "By all Means Dr. Beam, I don't want doctors to have a broken heart when they are the one curing the hearts of their own patients. right?" He asks

Kit could only smile awkwardly as he wai at Dr. Lee before the chief walkaway leaving him and Beam.

"The hell Beam!" Kit uttered while smacking his arms when the chief left the room.

Beam could only laugh when he saw how flustered Kit was. "I told you the doctors here are cool. He even ask me and Ai Pha if you are dating someone because he saw you and Ming outside before." He replied

"He did?" Kit asks while staring at Beam who only nod as his reply.

"You see, they all want the best for their doctors. They don't want any personal issues to come in our way of work so let's have fun tomorrow okay? see you!" Beam stated before leaving, he can hear him talk on his phone probably with Forth to tell him about tomorrow's event

The next day, Kit was awakened by soft peck on his eyes, nose, lips and his neck. He squirmed on the bed as he tried to pry away from the tickling kisses.

"Moongming." He mumbled as he tried to turn away from him.

"Baby, you need to get up and prepare. We're leaving in 30minutes" Ming whispered to his ears which send shivers to his spine.
