Austin’s POV

“Hey, Becky. It’s Jimmy again. I was just wondering where you’ve been. I’ve been trying to call you for a few hours now and I’m getting a little worried. Call me as soon as you get this message. I love you, bye.” I hear his voice on the other line of her phone. She calls him up.

“Hey Jimmy. It’s Becky. I just wanted to call you back and-” I take the phone out of her hands.

“Yeah, Jimmy. Becky’s busy right now and she won’t be back until later on tonight. So don’t call or text. I’ll make sure she gets home safely. Goodbye.” I end the call.

“What the fuck Austin?” she rages and tries to grab her phone back.

“We are going out tonight. Get your stuff.” I order her. She sighs.

“You’re lucky I fucking love you, you asshole.” she says meanly. I can’t help but fight the smile that spreads across my face.

“I love you too, babe.” I whisper as she’s walking down the hall.

I wish she heard me.

Becky’s POV

“Where are we going?” I ask for the 5th time.

“I said it’s a surprise.” he smiles at me.

“I hate surprises.” I mumble.

“You’re going to love this.” he says excitedly. We’ve been driving for what seems to be hours.

“Dude, are you lost?” I ask him, he shakes his head.

“I know exactly where we are. Trust me B.” He says.

‘Trust me B.’

Hah. Yeah, I think not.

We continue driving onto a dirt road, trees surround the path. I must look scared or worried because Austin laced his finger with mine.

“It’s alright, B.” He says.

“If you’re going to kill me at least make it quick.” I pout.

“Stop pouting. You way too cute to pout.” He says confidently, I smile.

“I am not cute.” I whisper.

“Ah.. Becky have you even seen yourself lately?” he asks me.

“How am I cute?” I ask.

“When you do that little pouting thing you do. And when you blush. And when you just do what Beckys do.” He says, I laugh.

“‘What Beckys do’?” I ask.

“Yeah girls who aren’t aware of what effect they have on other people around them, those types of Beckys.” He says, I shake my head.

“You’re crazy, Mahone.” I say.

“I like crazy.” He says.

“I like crazy too, that’s why I’m trusting you.” I say, He smiles.

“You really trust me?” He asks me while looking ahead at the road.

“I shouldn’t, but unfortunately I do.” I tell him.

The rest of the ride is silence. I feel kind of tense with the words I said hang in the air.

He stops the car. He unbuckles his seatbelt and looks at me.

“What?” I ask him.

He keeps staring at me.

“Dude, what are you looking at?” I ask him.

“My world.” Is what I think he said.

“What?” I croak.

“Nothing.” He dismisses me. He climbs out of the car. I quickly follow him.

He disappears into the tree line.

“Austin?” I ask scared.

“Austin?” I ask again.

Silence.

I hear rustles of leaves.

“You coming or what?” He pops out of the trees.

“You’re a jerk, you know that?” I tell him as I walk passed him. He catches up to me.

“I know, but I’m your jerk.” He says, I smile a little bit.

“Yeah, I guess.” I say quietly. We walk simultaneously until a large opening of trees leads us to a huge lake. My eyes go wide. You can literally see the entire galaxy.

“This is so beautiful!” I exclaim.

“Yeah, you are.” He says inaudibly, I look at him quickly. I catch his stare before he looks away from me. I look back at the stars.

“I wish I was a star.” I say.

“Why? So someone could finally look up to you?”

“Is that a short joke? Austy?” I tease. He groans.

“If I promise not to make another short joke do you promise never to call me ‘Austy’ ever again?” He asks me, I laugh.

“I pinky promise.” I say holding out my pinky. He takes it in his.

“Seal it with a kiss.” He says. Before I could kiss my pinky he pecks my lips. I pull away from the kiss and look at the ground smirking.

“God, YOU’RE DOING IT AGAIN!” He groans.

“What did I do?” I laugh.

“You’re doing that cute blushing-smiling-at-the-ground One Direction type of shit.” He explains.

“One Direction?” I ask him. He looks at the sky instantly.

“Yeah. What about them?” He tries to cover up his embarrassment.

“I didn’t know big bad boy players listened to One Direction.” I say.

“Liam’s cool, alright?” He states. I laugh.

(A/N: I. Fucking. Love. One. Direction.)

“Whatever you say.” I say. I look back up at the stars.

“We should take a picture of this, it’s like a moment.” I say, he pulls his phone out and so do I. As I take a pic of the sky I hear Austin’s phone click next to me, I look at him. He’s smiling at his phone.

“Beautiful sight, right?” I ask him, he looks up at me.

“Yeah, incredible.” He smiles.

“I’m going to the car really quick, alright?” he asks, I nod.

When I finally see that he’s out of sight I call Jimmy.

“What the fuck Becky?” He hisses on the other side of the line.

“What?” I ask frustrated.

“It’s been hours, where are you?” he asks irritated.

“I’m with Austin.” I explain.

“Where?” He asks.

“Somewhere, alright?” I say.

“Why are you spending so much time with him, huh? Are you actually falling for that asshole?” He asks. I gasp.

“You know what? He’s actually nice, okay?” I argue.

“He’s manipulating you! It’s part of his plan, Becky!” He screams.

“Shut up. I know what I’m doing. I’m with Austin. Don’t call me.” I state.

“Don’t forget what side your on, B.” He hangs up. I lock my phone.

“Jimmy called you?” Austin asks. I jump. I turn around and he’s holding a blanket and a cooler in his hands.

“Yeah, he was just wondering where I was.” I say.

“Did you tell him to fuck off?” he ask seriously.

“No.” I laugh.
