She tossed and turned trying to force her overactive mind to rest, but Anabella's mind conjured up images of sorrow and loneliness. Her forehead contorted with fear as the image in her head of Alexander walking away from her forever pulled at her heartstrings; she wasn't ready to lose him. Her eyes popped open aggressively and she released a frustrated breath, she decided she needed to go see him, just to clear the air.

It was quarter to nine when she swung her legs off the edge of her bed as she built up enough energy to bring herself to her feet. Moments later she entered the bathroom and took a soothing shower. She wrapped the velvety towel around her damp body when she heard the front door slam with a sharp thud, a joyous smile crossed her face when she thought it was Lynn. She knew Lynn would be pleased with her revelation.

She flung open the door, "Lynn I-" her expression faded as she noticed Michael walking past her door with a couple of Lynn's things, "Oh, Michael. Where's Lynn?"

"Oh, uh" he muttered, visibly shocked at her question, he drew his eyes from her, "She's staying with me a few days"

"Days? Or months?" she asked at the number of things which weighted down his body, he chuckled awkwardly,

"You know how she is, over the top" he gave her a curt smile, she sighed and her shoulders slumped, "Look," he said, causing her eyes to rise to his face, "You should talk to her, she's really angry with you. She didn't tell me what happened, she just grunted and groaned while she ate 2 tubs of ice cream" Michael explained, Anabella knew Lynn was pissed with her, Lynn wasn't the type to have an outburst. Lynn always handled everything with a level head,

"I'll try to talk to her" she whispered,

"Hey, if it helps bring ice cream as a peace offering" they laughed as he made his way towards the door.

Anabella was dressed and ready within the next hour, she kept going over what she would say to him, nothing made sense, she just hoped when she saw him her words would flow the way she wanted them to. She walked towards the door, her green cargos rustled as she walked, she grabbed her keys and went through the door.

She approached the elevators slowly, aimlessly looking at her phone, scrolling through her pictures, she sighed looking at him. Boisterous laughter jolted her as her eyes darted around to find the source of such laughter in the silence of the hotel. When she saw no one she continued walking, then laughter grew louder. She turned the corner and Anabella say two familiar figures backing her, she tilted her head to the side as she approached cautiously hoping her eyes were deceiving her; they weren't. Before her stood her father who was laughing heartily patting the other man on the back, but the other man's identity caused a hint of anger to grow within her being.

Alexander smiled and laughed happily with Andrew, even though he hated the man, the meeting they had to finalize everything was quite enjoyable. Andrew seemed to be in a good mood which to his surprise was actually fun to be around,

"So Alexander you got yourself an honest woman yet? Other than your assistant?" he slapped him on the back playfully and Alexander laughed, forgetting that he told him he was sleeping with Kendra, he chuckled while Andrew smirked at him and nudged his side while the other men laughed at Alexander's expression,

"Not yet, still looking" he chuckled which the men enjoyed, causing a thunderous sound as the laughed together.

Anabella froze behind him, clenching and releasing her fists, she was seconds away from releasing a deafening scream, but she pinned her lips together, her anger grew like a cyclone while her blood pulsed throughout her body. She approached him with intent, she tapped him on his shoulder and he turned still laughing with the other men. His face went white at the sight of her, and he wondered how long she was standing there,

"Hello darling," her father said, "didn't see you there", her father clearly ignored the pinched expression on his daughter's face, as she glared at Alexander. His mouth opened and closed awkwardly as he didn't know where to start,

"Ahhh let me introduce you to our new associate, this is Alexander Hunter, the big boss at White Pearl" Anabella's expression dropped at the mention of his full name, Alexander saw the betrayal in her eyes,

"You're such a liar" she hissed through gritted teeth, she shook her head as she retreated back to her room, her heart pounding so loud she couldn't even hear him calling out to her,

"Ana wait!" he shrugged her father's hand off of his shoulder as she chased after her. Her emotions escaped her as she inhaled a sharp breath, he grabbed her shoulder, "Ana"

"Don't touch me" she flicked his hand from her body,

"Let me explain"

"Explain what? That you lied to me? That you told me you're a bartender? And it just so turns out you're the CEO at White Pearl?" She shouted throwing off her hands, Alexander looked around as he saw Andrew and the other men behind him,

"Ana relax" she laughed at his hushed tones,

"You've got to be kidding me. You lied to me for a month, making me think you're so sweet, so humble, but every single time it turns out you've lied to me." Her face was red with emotion "And to think I was going by your house to tell you I want to work this out, and it turns out I don't know shit about you and apparently, you're fucking Kendra" Alexander's face brightened at the thought of her wanting to work things out,

"You-you want to work things out?" he asked awkwardly and she laughed,

"You're really a piece of shit you know that?" she marched towards her room and he followed closing the door behind him.

"Tell me the truth" she glared at him as he stood in his suit and tie, "Was it all a lie?"

"Anabella none of it was-"

"Don't give me that," she interrupted "Why couldn't you tell me your real name? Why couldn't you tell me who you really were? Why couldn't you tell me? " her pained expression pierced his chest, her voice dropped as her chest tightened as she spoke,

"I-I" he started but he shook his head "I don't know"

She gritted her teeth, "You cant even give me a proper answer" she dragged her hand through her hair as she stared at him,

"Ana I'm sorry, I just, I didn't want you thinking I was some spoiled rich boy or something"

The silence in the room was heavy as she stood staring at the floor feeling like a complete idiot, Alexander didn't know what to say,

"Do you even love me?" she mumbled,

"What?" he asked since he didn't hear her,

"Do you even love me!" she shouted, as her tear-stained face caught his eyes, Alexander swallowed hard looking at her,

"I love you Ana"

"Then why do you keep lying?" she muttered,

"I'm sorry, but-"

"No"

"I'm tired of you saying sorry, I'm tired of it all"

"But I am, I have a bad habit of keeping everything to myself, it's hard to express and say whats wrong when you don't really trust people"

"Well that's the difference, I trusted you even after everything that happened, I stayed I put myself through so much stress to be with you, got me up cant sleep and all kind of shit and you're prancing around lying to my face"

Alexander knew she was right, everything she said was true, she trusted him, he didn't find it hard to love her, he just found it hard to let her in.

"Just go, I can't do this anymore" and with that Alexander found himself leaving her once again. The last time he thought they had a chance but now he wasn't sure, the sadness in her eyes really didn't make him hopeful.
