I tried holding on to your light
But the darkness was too
overwhelming
Too powerful
It sucked me in
It changed me
I am no longer what you once knew
I am pained
I can no longer feel
And I am more broken than ever before
But I will not show any of it
Instead, I will show confidence
Power
And control
I don't need you anymore
That is what the darkness taught me
The same darkness that you hated
completed me
I will not allow you to hurt me anymore
Or at least, I won't show it
