When I was in about sixth grade I said I was going to live however I wanted to and then when I grew up and got out of college I'd give all my life to God. I thought, "A lot of people don't dedicate their lives to God until they're adults and I'll completely offer all my life to Him so it's all good." I didn't see the problem with it for a while when I realized one, when you know what is good and don't do it you're sinning, and two, God's way is His way for a reason I don't get to make the rules. You don't get to just follow God when it's convenient, you can't have days where you don't follow God but do really good the next day so you make it up. That's not how following God works because to follow God you need to be in a relationship with Him. God doesn't beat us with a big stick when you mess up, He isn't just trying to get you to follow His rules, He loves you unconditionally. Follow His way and find that it's really the only way that works to give you an abundant life.
