There is a difference between knowing about God and knowing God. You can know all the Bible verses there are, you can have studied Christianity for years but that doesn't mean you know God. Knowing God is about having relationship with with Him, about having stories and memories with Him. Knowing God is an encounter with Him. It's that time He helped you find joy in your darkest moment, when you were flooded with peace after stressing over all the things in your life, or when you get unloveable and He reaches out with His forgiveness and love. Those are the stories that show who God is and those are the stories that change lives. No one's life is changed when you tell them that Jesus was God's son who lives 2000 years ago. Information about Him is important, it gives our faith support but the foundation of our faith should be an encounter with God. If when you read the Bible you are doing it wrong. The Bible is your Creator's story that He wanted to tell you so He had people write it. It's a way to get to know Him.
