"Well damn,"
Ron muttered under his breath, peeking through the screens of his window
"Butter me up and call me a biscuit"

He had caught the right moment to look out of his window, and saw them as they entered through the gate
The new people, Enid had talked about. She saw them before anyone in Alexandria even knew they were coming.
She was out in the Forrest, following Aaron on silent feet
Right when he lured them to the safe-zone
She said they act monster-like,
Said they were creepy and she was all but wrong
They were indeed like monsters, the kind of people he only saw in video games.
They didn't bother bringing a nice champagne as a present, no.
They just went all in and brought a bloody squirrel.
Well, at least the guy with the crossbow did. He was the most beast-like from them all
He didn't talk, he just glared like a wolf under the greasy hair that framed his dirt covered face.
He showed no shame for the lack of showers, and neither did his buddies.
Ron didn't expect much of them, but his curiosity wouldn't let him back away from the entertainment of his window. His eyes fixed onto the glass like he was watching television while the laughter of his friends made the background noises.

"C'mon, Ron.
We'll have plenty of time to get to know them, jus' sit back down and relax with us
before Enid wins the bet"
Mikey barked at him from the tatty bean bag with its hot pink colour that so didn't fit into Ron's boyish room.

"Shhhht"
Ron shushed his friend,
not wanting him to cover the sounds that came from from the open crack of his window
"I'm trying to listen"

Enid stood up now with the controller hanging of her scarred hand and rose an eyebrow as she followed Ron's gaze
"Nothing' Special about them. Just another bunch of scrubs"

Ron shrugged
"No less interesting though"

And then, he saw him entering through the gates. A well-built boy, which caught his attention instantly even with the fact he couldn't see his face he lit a spark in the void of the blonds stomach. He walked with confident steps, head looking to the ground as if he was ashamed but to Ron he looked mysterious. An older man by his side and from their looks, he assumed that it must've been his father.
Ron instantly decided that his mission was to befriend the new guy, learn everything about him.
Starting from his name and ending with his favourite colour. He guessed that it must've been green,
This bright, happy colour seemed to attract the mysterious ones of people. The kind of group of people this guy must belong to.
The boy whose chestnut coloured hair, swayed with the wind as if it had started a dance with it. Hanging like curtains in his face but the pretty kind of curtains. The ones your mother spends hours to pick from the supermarket and yell at your dog at If he decides to eat them.
Enid who was still standing next to him, looked rather bored at the scenario in front of them that Ron found to be the highlight of his day and she just said in the sarcastic tone of hers
"That dude has longer hair than me"
Mikey behind them chuckled, he had stood up as well.
"Don't over exaggerate it, Eny Meny. He would at least need two year of growth before he's a concurrent for your hair"
This earned him an elbow to his ribs of the petty girl "What Did I tell you about that stupid nickname"

The brown haired boy with the brown golden retriever eyes groaned in pain but his silly grin never left his mouth
"If I remember it correct, you said you loved it"
And another punch, this time his grin faded but a new one appeared on the blonds lips now as he laughed together with Enid about their friend who couldn't shut his mouth to save his life

"But for real now, let's get back to playing video games"
And so they did, even if Ron would have rather spend his time watching out of the window he couldn't deny that the fun of shooting fictional characters had its perks as well.
With a last glance to the mysterious boy he crouched down with his friends in front of the TV and continued their war inside the screen
